It's unseasonably warm here, it's bizarre!

Yay for warm! (It's snowing here; a little on the ground overnight.)

I'm making soup this afternoon, and shopping. It's this time of year, that reminds me how much I really hate shopping.

I mean, it's one thing to do the grocery shopping: I know I need milk, butter, apple butter, OJ, bleach, etc. No Problem.

But what do I get my sister for Christmas? I can get her groceries; tea, stevia sweetener, creamer, etc. Ammunition (like she uses it much... but it's like camera film was: If they can use it, it's a possibility!). Soap. (Same thing.) But there's no squeal of delight over soap.

We need a sad-sigh smilie.

I take it back, the last couple days have been cold!

I love shopping for some people...but others are so difficult!

Sauerkraut, of course.
Mashed potatoes. (No gravy, since there's kraut.)
Beans. (Needed something "else".)
Pie. (Mince, because we didn't have it for Christmas or Thanksgiving.)
Misc. snacks: leftover cranberry bread, rice krispie bars, Chex Mix...

It was 10 degrees here this morning, and yesterday we had flurries all day.

Yeah, I've been having a bit of that, too.
And they're suggesting we might get freezing rain tonight. Rain this weekend, then serious cold.
