I promise that once you read the script, the trailer will make sense and so will the idea of what they're trying to do with this version! As long as you keep in mind that the script may have been changed between the copy sent out (the one you'll read) and the shooting script, but all scenes in the trailer are in the version you'll read. Also my advice...go in and read it with an open mind, or as open as you can make it. I know it'll be hard not to compare it to our version, but this one is its own separate thing and it's best to read it as its own. Once you've finished it and had time to really stew over it and form your opinion on it alone, then you can go in and compare. Because as similar as some of it is for the pilot, it's also very very different.

At least the people around Buffy "might" have seen the light, and there are now hints that the Buffy reboot might instead being a "revival" or a "continuation". Now whether that means cast mates of the original show will be called on, who knows...

Looks like there might still be a new Buffy type. Wonder if they will get Sarah as a "mentor" type.

Maybe the backlash to the proposed series spooked them...

It should have spooked them! Completely rebooting that story isn't smart and no one would show up for it. But to do a story on a new slayer or even one of the former ones would add a great layer to the mythology. I personally would love a show focused on Nikki Wood or the First. They have so much story to tell with either one.

Yes Nikki Wood would be an awesome storyline! I loved her character.

You can't re do Buffy it was one of a kind.

However a spin off like they did with Angel I could see working out better.

But you can't reboot Buffy after all their is only ONE slayer!

I think I saw someone mention...do like mini-arcs/seasons of different slayers throughout history. That's way more interesting than a reboot of BUFFY.

I feel like the only "reboot" I'm interested in is Sabrina. Because it's a different genre, different title...it doesn't "feel" like the original. They aren't trying to make it the same. *looking at you, "Charmed."*
