Ok, wow, so I'm reading everything that everyone wrote and I Think we're all in agreement that the 47' story line is sooo much better than the modern day stuff! Watching those flash backs left me with so many questions! Yes is the flashbacks could be their own stand alone show, omg! Cause I definitely think there will still be a bunch of unanswered questions at the in of the season, given there are like 3 episodes left I'll use the spoiler tag to be safe...

I loved all of the Easter Egg stuff as well. The 1947 storyline could be a show in itself. I want more. Great writing and acting.

You're not the only one speculating what Harrison meant when he called Tripp family! But I took it to mean family in the sense that they served together...chosen family rather than blood. Could they be blood, possibly, but considering how racist and awful the Manes family was/is, it seems unlikely that until Jesse married a Native woman and had Alex and his brothers, there wouldn't have been much "mixing."

Yeah that part where Harrison seemed to understand what Tripp meant by up north was weird. He may have known what that meant, but in the world of this show, there has been no indication of alien presence prior to the '47 crash. It was probably just a way for Carina to shove an OG reference in and have Jason of all people deliver the line

It's so interesting to me that the writers seems to know how to write the flashback story better than the current one. It kind of makes it obvious that they don't know the characters at all unless the characters they're writing for are the ones they created specifically. But then that doesn't explain Cameron, Steph, and Charlie (though I can chalk that up to being involved in the current storyline and having to tie them into the events).

Looks like all of us could together come up with a pretty decent spin-off here.... the OG had RiverDog so it’s not out of the question to bring more story linking Native mythology with the visitors/off planet civilizations. I was upset when I rewatched the OG and realized besides those few episodes in the middle of season 1 that the writers never returned to the reservation or the writings on the wall in the cave.

Not sure if I need the spoiler tag, better safe I guess....

Spoiler:

EDIT to add: Oh and BTW....what exactly is Cameron’s purpose? She seems more of Liz’s friend then Maria it seems so maybe that is it? oh and Steph....not exactly sure what her purpose is either....this show doesn’t seem to do justice to supporting characters. Never thought I’d say I’m missing Noah a bit in this season...I feel like he revealed a whole entire crap of stuff in that finale and poof! He is dead and that was that. .However, Diego coming to Roswell seems very promising! Or maybe that he is simply some seriously good eye candy and I don’t care what his purpose is at this point?! Maybe after watching the episode a second time (yep, still under stay at home orders here ) I feel like I want another triangle and I want Diego to win back Liz ? I’m definitely not a diehard echo fan in the alternate universe I’m trying though..l’m trying

Maybe Cameron is the Courtney of this season and Steph is the Tess in this season as well.

I feel like Cameron should of been Isobel. I love her character.

Then again thats Plec she throws in characters with a great storyline and then poof they are gone or serve no purpose. Like in Vampier Diaries.

Oh I am loving Diego. He is really interesting.

I feel like if they stuck to the 1947 formual they could of had a great show. The 1947 storyline is so thought out. Loving Tripp and the mystery beind him and the twins.

Lots of things to speculate here...It really bugs me that there are only a few episodes left, plus Jason is only in the finale, doesn't seem like enough time to wrap things up. So on top of all of the other questions that are still unanswered, I also wonder how/when Tripp and Nora made this "connection" and devised the quasi plan to get away from the airforce. The only interactions we see between them are looks, so it begs the question when and how did they communicate with each other? Remember L and N were with Bronson and Walt for whole year, a year, was it during that time that they communicated? Or could it be something alien and telepathic, where they never really physically met up...The answers are important because it would provide some of the motive behind Tripp wanting to help them and defy his so called family legacy. The show should address it, but if and how they do remains to be seen. Then there's what he was doing the whole time Nora was imprisoned? Did he try to help? He seemed pretty content in 87', not all concerned with the fact that someone he loved ( a theory behind their connection) was locked up and being tortured...ok I'll stop here cause I swear I'll get carried away if I don't

Oh that is ok Kwiki...safe place here to get carried away!!! Now that you brought up about Tripp being quite content in 1987 while Nora was in captivity I am spinning!! Seriously .....after reading your comment my head went there onto all the possibilities for a spin off where Tripp and Nora had something between 1947 and 1948 and maybe even sometime after. Maybe Nora wasn’t inprisoned the entire time? I don’t know....I guess I’m pretending maybe Nora didn’t return to caufield until after Tripp’s death and 1987 would be about right for the alien 3 to still be in their pods. Come on, there is a much more interesting story here in these characters and I feel we won’t see any satisfying conclusion. I have a sneaking feeling the finale will be maybe one scene, two at the most of Tripp. oh and can I say I’m bummed we didn’t get more Gaius on this?? What about him and Louise? When I heard Gaius was joining I was excited and I feel in his few scenes he was under utilized also.
Telepathy, a connection....heck at this point I’m willing to have Tripp and Nora’s connection even tie into the Malex obsession (Which by the way may be the only way to get the fans on the New Mexico board to talk about anything .....other then two particular characters ...I am disappointed time and time again when I visit the speculation board or upcoming spoilers, or ANY other character board over on the NM board and there isn’t anything exciting.... except now alex and michael looked, looked at each other, and glanced away, but then back again.).

I don't really have high hopes for them wrapping up the '47 storyline in a cohesive and decent manner. Jason WILL be in episodes 12 and 13, but I also have a feeling we'll be told more and not shown. I'm just not sure what they're working towards with Tripp and Nora. We know that shortly after meeting with Jesse in 1987, he died/was killed. Was Tripp more inclined to help Nora and Louise because he's just a good human being and he's seen what his family does to people who seem threatening? Did he have a genuine connection? Maybe and I have this horrible feeling that they're doing this to work it into the whole "cosmic" Michael/Alex connection (which sorry, I STILL don't see it). Tripp possibly made visits to Caulfield and was able to see Nora. But maybe not. It seemed like Nora and Louise were able to communicate with each other telepathically, and that Louise seemed to be more of a protector/warrior. And we know Tripp stayed in contact with Louise until he died. Perhaps Nora contacted Louise to keep Tripp away from Caulfield, or to update him and let him know she was ok. Louise lived 10 more years after Tripp died and only died herself on June 14, 1997...the exact day that the aliens came out of the pods.

There's SO much more story to be told with these people. So much more story that I fear won't be told. I just honestly think they will wrap this all up at the end of the season and move on to season 3 where the focus will be on the Deep Sky organization and Maria's vision of someone's impending death.

Omg JJ the way Alex and Michael gaze at each other and then look away... it is kind of sad that they really don't discuss anything on that board. It's like what's the point of having the board if no one has anything to say? But I'm not gonna worry about it because at least I have this place where I can throw around all my crazy theories! Now...maybe Nora didnt soend all that time at caufield, her and Tripp had a wonderful life together,(until 87') wouldn't that be something!

Yes I agree I posted on the Roswell New Mexico board a few times and it's crickets over there.

Our board is much more welcoming and a chatty grow! Can't beat the original 21 years later we still are talking about our favorite aliens.

I know there is more theory talk and speculation HERE.....crazy. Oh and keepsmling....she’s such a sweet poster over on the Jason Behr board, she is really trying to bring up Nathan’s Max over there on his thread and no one cares......so odd.

The episode this past Monday was ....all ....over ....the ....place..... I have no idea the end game here.....

Well of course. The same three fans on the NM board only care about Michael/Alex and the crumbs they desperately eat every few weeks. They don't care about Max or the show in general outside of that. Like I said before, the only thing I like on the show is Michael/Maria but the rest of the show is trash that tries too hard. There is no narrative, you can clearly tell they have no plan and they just throw crap at the wall to see what sticks every week. They don't know what the hell their doing and it's no wonder the show's ratings get lower and lower as the show goes on.

I know Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie usually throw all cannon adn storyline out the window hey did it on Vampire Diaries and with The Originals.

I can't believe how next week they are basically ripping off the Pilot and the Convention all in one with CrashCon. Forget the Crashdown Festival and the Convention they alien smashed it all together.

It's like they are trying to recreate the pilot Crash Festival all over again.

This show does not work with them working at the diner and being adults. They should of had it where Liz was working at a Lab with Kyle or something anything.

Or make her the manager of the Crashdown I just can't see Liz a smart 28 year old woman ground breaking scienest woman working as a waitress. I can see Rosa working as a waitress (nothing against anyone who is a waitress I worked in the hospitality industry and it is one of the hardest jobs ever! Seriously My hats are off to you all.)

I can see in this version more Rosa as a Crashdown waitress then Liz. Rosa is young an needs work experience. Liz I could see being a co manager of the Crashdown after her research funding was dropped.

Like we all agree this show is all over the place. At least our hsow had heart and I think that is why you see their board and show lacking.

I mean, to be fair...the actual Roswell has the UFO Festival, so it doesn't surprise me that they would have an event on this show at some point. It honestly would be weird if they didn't. And what better event to hold with this whole weird bomb storyline.

This show has had some bad writing and bad episodes but this one might actually be up there with one of the worst. You're three episodes from the end and you get no closer to really wrapping up anything. And then to turn the tables and choose THOSE characters as the villains? What?! Nobody cares about those characters, like they're barely characters. And this weird back and forth with Jesse is tiresome. Liz is absolute garbage and should be taken to task about her shady science experiments. Also, super crappy that she's apparently doing this as a thank you to Kyle for all he's done for her and ONCE AGAIN she's hurting him and getting him suspended/almost fired and I bet once she finds that out...she won't give a damn.

And please tell me someone else noticed that Liz and Isobel openly talked about Rosa in front of Diego?! Cause last I remember, Rosa is still dead to everyone but the core characters. I'd really love to know what the writer's room looks like for season 3 and which writers they kept and didn't. Something really needs to change for season 3 because this season has been rife with incohesive storytelling, pacing problems, lots of really out of character behavior.
