There's one particular word Michael said in the Granalith chamber that I will forever be bitter about not getting to hear.

I'm one of those people who will defend season three, even though I think it's the worst of the three. (Season One was my favorite, too.) I was upset about M&M in season three at the time, but time and maturity has really evolved my whole view on their storyline. That and some personal experiences in my own life that help me relate to Maria.

3x03 "Significant Others" - I like that it's relationship-driven.
3x08 "Behind the Music" - Not the happiest Candy episode, but the storyline is more human and relatable.
3x09 "Samuel Rising" - Season 2's X-mas episode is better, but this one is good, too. Plus, Santa and Snowflake.
3x10 "A Tale of Two Parties" - It's just fun and plays up less-showcased dynamics.
3x12 "Ch-Ch-Changes" - I like the Dreamer storyline, and I once again think the Candy stuff is relatable.

I didn't like it, necessarily . . . but I can see it. Maria was kind of lost at that point. Not that that excuses her behavior. It doesn't.

The only thing i "liked" about that whole M&M fiasco was how Michael was miserable, for once the role were reversed.

I don't really "like" either one of them being miserable, but I like . . . the realism. They love each other . . . but they make each other miserable sometimes. True to life.

I only liked it because I see alot of my own relationship (early stages) in theirs, so it's like...some personal thing

And it WAS very realistic, which was fantastic.

In a show about aliens, you need that element of realism to keep things grounded, and Michael and Maria always managed to provide that.

"Teen shows" in general in the 90s just seemed to have that extra spark.

Nowadays it's more about who cheats on who / Who will come out (nothing against that but just saying that they do that now) / Who will be the first one to do drugs ect...

Things have changed.

I feel like they try to just have the "omg" moment of the week in every episode or scene, and it means a meaningful and greatly-developed storyline/character development can suffer

90's shows were just so damn iconic!

I'm glad Roswell squeezed into the 90's so I can legitimately refer to it as a 90's show.
