Yes they did it as a summer series thing. I think they were hoping for a full season after the summer run but it never was picked up.
However they were able to pack in a great storyline in those 8 episodes it felt like a full season. Can I just say how happy it make me to see the photo of Alex sleeping next to the alien. I crack up everytime. So perfect for this thread!  __________________
