Betrayed by Vilandra in the first life, then a friend in the second. It could've been paralleled.

It would have, & it would have created so much more material to work with. Liz & Maria obviously would have thought that they could still reach out to Alex, Max would have probably sided with them because he'd be too scared to actually do anything as per usual. Michael would have wanted to eliminate the threat as soon as possible, & Isabel would have probably felt the same - plus, it would have been a lot more personal to her. Would have created a lot of meaty storylines

All of this sounds like such glorious angst. The group could be fractured for a bit but then come together again and ultimately win the fight.

It would be, it's one of those storylines that would have emotions running high & would get all the main characters involved & put them at odds with each other. There'd be unlimited potential with a story like that

I think more good aliens needed to come to Earth too, even if it was how Larek took over human bodies for a bit,

Yeah, I wanted to see that too - Larek seemed quite likeable & it would have been interesting to see aliens who had used to be their friends, or maybe even family, show up & trying to rebuild those relationships again

and I liked Larek cause he was a pro-ZA/MT person.
I wish the writers had Max & Isabel's mom show up. And I had a headcanon that Ava had a twin. We needed to know more about Ava's family. __________________

Now Max & Isabel's mom would have been interesting, because I think they both would have felt a need to bond with her & create a relationship there - it could have been the kick they both Max (especially Max) to stop denying their alien side, & realize that there is a whole planet out there full of their people that need help.

It would've been sooooo good, and Max&Isabel's mom inevitably bonding with them and getting their asses in gear is probably the exact reason it didn't happen. The writers were committed to ML, so anything that permanently separated them could not be explored.

His endgame turned out to be really embarrassing. I don't see how living out of a van can be seen as anything other than failure. And it's not how shows usually decide to send their main characters off.

I totally agree. When I read about the ending someone had leeked on line I was like that can't be it. However it was.
Personally a part of me really always thought Roswell should of ended where Max goes back to Antar and Liz is on her balcony writing in her journal about meeting Max and everyone and how they saved her life and will always be grateful. It would of made the story come full circle. __________________
