Maybe it's better we weren't told, cause then fanfic can be written and it'll be better than whatever the writers made canon.

I was also confused whether or not Skins and the Royal Four were the same species or different species.

The Skins were a different species. The Royal Four were separate from them.

The Skins seemed like an enemies and then there were a few who wanted Michael to be the leader of Antar. Thats all we really got about them.

I don't think the skins were always enemies though, not that they were best friends, but more like there was a truce there. Isabel obviously got to know Kivar (which makes me think that he might have been royalty), I just assume they were from a nearby planet, but had a big stake in Antar for some reason too

Isabel being involved with a different species is a head scratcher to me. Cause it's like a human being involved with a camel, or a dog being involved with a cat. I probably shouldn't be bothering with the technicalities of it.

I can see why the writers tried to avoid any Antar stuff cause they probably felt it'd become too political for a teen show.

That & because I don't think they knew what was going on there either, they just made it up as it went along

At the time I am not sure. Now a days yes the totally could of done well on HBO or on showtime. Or on Netflix and Hulu.

Back in the day I think we were given the best we had. If it had been today the show would of gotten more seasons I believe.

You have got a point there, I don't think many networks would have taken a chance on a teen alien show back then

Still, I think that the network could have been a lot better to them - I'm guessing firing all the season 1 writers was on the network & then pushing for an 'edgier' Roswell in the later seasons really didn't do any good...

It'll be interesting to see how long the Roswell reboot lasts. But I kind of don't see it as a Roswell reboot at all cause the storyline is totally different.

I've not heard anything since the initial announcement, & since the reception that got....I wouldn't be that surprised if we never saw an episode

Same. They got the Pilot order but who knows if it'll make it beyond that stage.
IDK why it has to be called Roswell. Give it some other title.

Yeah, it's done the opposite of the intended affect from what I've seen - it's turned Roswell fans away instead of pulling them in
