They should've had Lonnie impersonating Isabel be one of the things leading up to Alex's death.

That would have been a good storyline, Isabel suddenly being in love with Alex did seem hella convenient
Having Lonnie impersonating her & stirring up a whole load of trouble would have been a great storyline! __________________

yea, I can't say I was ever a Stargazer, and I never got the impression Isabel was deeply in love with Alex so her reaction to his death felt...I guess over the top is the right phrase?
Katherine would've loved the opportunity to stretch her acting chops by playing both Lonnie and Isabel. __________________

I am a Stargazer shipper.
I think with the Stargazers it was sad because Alex was so in love with Isabel and she didn't know what to do with his feeling toward her. I think Isabel was more guarded hence her ice queen popular foreside. Keep them at a distance but never let anyone see the real you. However she did trust Alex enough to tell him about her secret. I think she looked at Alex as a freind and didn't want him to get hurt. I love how their romance blossomed after prom but it was cut short. I think deep down Isabel always loved Alex but after his death it really hit home for her that her friend was gone. He also was gone because of the deep dark secret she told him about. So I think in a way her biggest fear of falling for Alex came true. That he would somehow get hurt. Which is why she never tells Jessie the truth about her. That would of been amazing if Lonnie was trying to be like Isabel and trying to harm the group for her own plan. That would of made for a better storyline. __________________

I never got Alex/Isabel at all. To me, it always seemed like Isabel was lonely, Alex was a good guy who knew about all the alien stuff & wanted to be with her, so she got with him for that reason. Her feelings for him never really seemed genuine to me, I mean look at that scene near the beginning of s2, & she's telling Alex why she can't be with him & then Grant walks in & she basically forgets Alex exists, I think that sums up her 'romantic' feelings for him pretty well tbh Plus, having three aliens & three humans & then pairing them all up was way too convinient....
But yeah, having Lonnie stirring things up in the second half of s2, would have been a much better storyline, & seeing as they first introduce the concept of the dupes in 2x04, we met them & then Rath & Lonnie mysteriously disappeared in 2x10, having her or both of them come back & be a part of all the drama that would be building up towards the finale would have made way more sense as a season long arc & would have been built up so much better then the sudden 'Tess has been evil all along' crap that came out of nowhere Anyway, some more MT __________________

no one could claim Tess was forcing him or he wasn't into her. Past EOTW, it was all Max taking initiative.

Definitely, I think early on s2 Tess made it pretty clear that she was sick of chasing Max & that she wasn't going to do it anymore, so it was pretty much all him for the rest of the season....
Except for that small part in OTM __________________

And even in OTM even though she gave him a present it wasn't her screaming about destiny over and over again. It was her trying to be nice.
