Star Wras reference to our Rebels.
In Star Wars The Rebels were the Rebel Alliance. Quote:

My sister got me a shirt from a SW convention that says "Rebel Alliance" on it. Sadly it's 2 sizes too big because that was the only one left in stock. But it's a good night shirt. I just had to have something that said Rebel Alliance on it.
