As for fics that show Liz as evil, most of the time i just completly ignore her character, and just skip to the M/T scenes so i don't take in that "this story is unrealistic b/c Liz is evil"

Lol, I like a good story, It just happens that i like M/T to be the center of it. And when the stories start pointing to Liz saying that she mind warped kyle, and killed alex, it just makes me hate the story.

Smurf, why dont we just make are own story?

Even when stories say that, they can still be turned around, with Tess showing Max that it wasn't her fault somehow. E.g. One fic has it where Tess shows Maria what really happened, this is just before Tess and Michael go off to Antar, then later Max shows everyone what Maria was shown by Tess, and they find out that Khivar was using her body to do it, and that Tess tried to save Alex's life. ..
God i forgot which fic that was, but i know it was a longer one.. i think it's Loving Destiny lol.

I wouldn't know where to start with a story.

I got alot of ideas, i can come up with numerous ones, its just a lack of time and patience which i run in to. Thats why i want to bring in a couple other people that can work together.

For instance of a beginning: I thought it might be neat to see Max left behind taken in by Nasedo, but have his personality different from Tess's,
Or there is always the regular ones where Tess comes into Town
Then theres the what if they all stayed together.

I can go into further details if need be.

That's the story i believe. Tess comes back, Trying to get the other 3 to come back to antar with her, only michael comes at first, later max & isabel end up coming and they go to antar and have this battle with khivar.
But sadly in the end, Max & Tess get married, which is yay and all, but Tess only sees it as a "marriage of convenience" while max is now wanting to be with Tess, so it's changed from when on earth Tess was wanting to be with Max.

Lack of time, that's what it comes down to for everyone

Soon i start a new course which is going to be a lot of work for me as i'm jumping a level (Jumping from CERT to Degree). So i'm not really wanting to commit to something i know is going to take time, of which i don't know if i really have.

A fic where Max is left behind, hmm thats also been thought of, and some of it written by another author, although the story was never completed. But it is a good storyline to think about

I know what you mean, write now im taking a summer class, but ill be starting up s a new semester soon. What im thinking, is if we could get, lets say 3 people co writing it, then we might be able to make time.

Plus it might be fun to see how it plays out. I got a few ideas how it could play out.

you know what I hate with fics...I hate when past life fics make it like Ava was evil and only using Zan because she was in cahoots with Kivar. There's one fic where Ava's friends with Kivar at one point but then she sees he's crazy and doesn't want to help him. Plus, she's not evil, so I enjoy rereading that fic. But I read another fic that I had to stop midway through because Ava was using her mind control powers on Zan and that's not what we learned Ava was like in the show. Everything we were told is that she really loved him and he really loved her.

You know they arn't just friends, they are lovers, but once Zan proposes to Ava she says yes and decides she doesnt want to be apart of the plan with khivar anymore.

mrbigshot88 I think that's a really good beginning to a fic I'd love to read. I can't write any fics now due to personal problems, but you should continue it. I want Max to meet Tess and NOT be attracted to Liz.

Im pretty good at action scenes, but i lack the ability to write a proper dialogue i think. I dont think im very good at making it, but i dont know we;ll see.

I was thinking of having Michael use his powers in the crash down to push the guy with the gun into a wall. Like on pure instinct, not really knowing how he did it. Thats how maria gets involve, or liz i dont know.

Also i was thinking about making Max more assertive and powerful. I always got the feeling that Tess didnt try her hardest when she was with Nasedo. And Nasedo will be taking orders from max sometimes, but more working into a team. But to keep max from becoming 'heartless' he will have a back ground in up to like 12 or something with a human family before Nasedo takes him. So on a regular bases, Max is more like himself, but when danger or other stuff happens he will be more like zan.

What do you guys think of that idea

Dialogue can be a bit more challenging, but it just requires practice and once you understand a character it's a lot easier to write.

I like the idea of a more "gutsy" Max. Max in the show, IMO, sometimes sat back way too much and waited for things to happen, but we occasionally got glimpses of who I call "the Zan" inside of Max like in the first couple of episodes of S2, and when he wasn't staring longingly at Liz all day * rolls eyes *

I do like Liz as a character (she's even more gutsy than Max at times!) so I hope you don't write her as "pure evil"

Back when the real alien stuff was happening, and when the humans where less involved, at least not as directly involved.

From reading what bigshot said earlier, i doubt that he would write in Liz as evil, or it would seem to unrealistic. But with that in mind, she doesn't have to be the "saint" the show writers made her out to be as well

1. yea liz wont be evil, she might not be as understanding because i dont think im gonna save her 'like' max did. In fact i dont think max will even be there in Roswell for a lil while

should there be alien and human relationships?

oh another tid bit that i thought id mention, is that i believe that the aliens powers get stronger the more they use them. They become easier to use. Instead of them having like a certain amount of energy, for instance it just tires them out when they access that part of there brain, but if they are use to it and trained for it they can continually use them. And learning new techniques tax them out much quicker because its hard for them to concentrate. Does any of what i said make sense

I really like the idea of Max being more gutsy. I think that's how show Tess wanted him to be and how his past self must've been. ANd I like the idea of him/Nasedo being more like a team rather than mentor/apprentice, or something.

Liz not being evil is fine. But like Smurf said, don't make her a saint either. It's really annoying when characters are perfect and always right.

Human/Alien relationships can be explored if it advances the story in the direction you want to go.
