It may be quiet, but you Poolies are already on page 3.

Trying to finish up the school year, and plan the rest of the planting.
I have two concerts on Saturday, so there won't be any yard work done this week-end.

Oh yay on your concerts!

When does school end for you this year?

My friend's son is done with 10th grade today! He was a baby when I met her online., one year old.

We finish up next week, but graduation isn't until June.

Are you still doing lessons?? Or have you always done them all along?

Graduation is a while after finishing the year then.

I'll be glad when school gets out here-cause I go to PT at 7:30am, and have to navigate heavy school traffic, that gets backed up over a mile. And I have zero patience for waiting.

I rang Lyn today because I never got to a chance to ring her on her birthday. She had to leave to pick up her youngest boy because he was finishing school today for the summer holidays. When I asked when they go back and she said August I realised they have nearly three months off for the summer holidays We only get six weeks here for the holidays. I said to her "No wonder you lot are so daft if you have so much time off school" I don't think she caught what I said because she didn't say anything

Kimmie...great chatting last night. Sorry again for my mad family chatting in the background

at Lyn. We always had 3 months off, since way back when I was in school.

It was great talking to you Dawnie and being a part of your family's craziness.

Yup. Summer vacation always was first week of June, to first week of September. But sometimes we had to go back "early": Last week of August.

Anybody good at ID'ing wild flowers? I have a whole bunch in my yard that I can't name. One really pretty kind has 4 white petals, sort of. There's one petal at 12 o'clock, one each at 8 and 4 o'clock, and a much smaller one at 6 o'clock. The 12 o'clock petal has a bunch of fine, dark blue lines running vertically; the 8 and 4 have fainter lines running horizontally. The whole thing is about the size of the end of a pencil. The plant itself is kind of vine-y, but maybe a couple of inches long. Way pretty, though.
Not sure I'd be allowed to post a picture...

I don't know any wildflowers. Sorry! I just know we have little bitty yellow ones, and purple ones, and I love them, but when you cut the grass they're gone.

Okay, I guess I'm going to stop talking to myself soon.

Race was good tonight, but the All Star Open was better than the All Star Main race. It was okay though. In a racing mood now, but have to wait till the Coke 600 next week,

What's keeping you all busy?

ETA-Does anyone know if Hulu has Buffy episodes??

ETA again-Nevermind, it does. Switching from Netflix to Hulu. Buffy DVD's are just too grainy to watch, so I'd rather watch on the computer.

Played my 2 concerts on Saturday.
Went to my first graduate open house on Sunday.
Giving finals this week. Graduation practice Wednesday.
Still giving lessons.
We used to have 3 months off in the summer, too, Dawn.
Then it was 2 1/2 months. Then with the new "balanced calendar" we go
back to school the first of August. However, my department works most of the summer.

This is our work week, down at The Railroad. Remember, I'm a volunteer with the Friends of the East Broad Top RR (FEBT.org). We're coating a roof, and digging holes to fill with cement to repair the supports for a "pole barn" type structure. I'm Utility Man - strange person from another county , capable of supplying both power and water to run a cement mixer.

Lots of hurry up & wait... & wait... & wait. Still tired & sleepy, though. Getting up too early in the morning, getting home too late in the evening.
