Hello Poolies hope you're all doing ok. As usual I'm running about here, there and everywhere

A belated happy birthday to our chocolate queen Twee hope you had a fab day

Me, Lyn and Faith are trying to book a hotel in New York but the prices are ridiculous
As Brigitte and Laura aren't coming on this trip it's going to cost us about $800 each just for the hotel. I won't be coming home with an extra case full of goodies this time

The weather here today has been mad. First I woke up to a sprinkling of snow then the sun came out and it was quite warm. I went to have my car cleaned and had my sun glasses on. While I was sitting there watching the guys clean my car it started to pour down with rain, It's lovely and sunny again now

Off out now to deliver some more easter eggs. I've still got about ten to give out. I should have so many friends with chuffing kids and gran kids

Hanging in there. That's too bad about your brother, but they've got some clever anti-cancer drugs these days. There's a whole family of anti-vascularization drugs now that prevent tumors from growing blood vessels; so they starve / suffocate. (They're related to Thalidomide, of all things.) And there's immunotherapy treatments. It's all so far advanced than they had when my late Father had lung cancer, some 35 years ago. (It actually spread to his lungs, from a tumor above his right eye, thanks to a botched biopsy.)

But stay away from tobacco, anyway. And you'll be in my (our) prayers.

Didn't one of your NASCAR drivers just announce his retirement (+/-) ? Is that good, or bad?

Where in the world are you looking, Dawn? I just checked Best Western and they have rooms with 2 Queen size beds for around $250. If you stay in Brooklyn, they are $150. You shouldn't have to pay over $100 each.

I have one night off tonight this week. I'm doing laundry, and checking things on my computer.
