I would but I can hardly find time to sleep at the moment, I get home around 9pm every day, the only free time I get is at the weekend and by then I'm too damn tired to do anything but slump on the couch
I've been meaning to bake some lemon and poppy seed financiers for weeks now, I even bought everything I needed but...
Anyway, things should get better now, class councils are done and over with, my college students took their finals tonight, now I just have like a gazillion papers to grade and it all has to be done by next week so yeah see, things are already looking up

Twee, did you have time to get out "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" for your classes this year?

I've read about St. Nicholas Day in Holland......that's the day they have presents.
Probably not a bad thing: get time off for that, and then more time off for Christmas/Boxing Day, and then New Years.

Not just in the Netherlands, St Nicolas day is a very popular celebration in most European countries; Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, Italy, Romania... all the way to Russia. We even have it in France, but it's mostly in the north and the north east, in what we call l'Alsace & la Lorraine (he's actually the patron saint of the area). It's probably easier to list the countries that don't have St Nick
It's something that dates back from the Xth century. Every year on Dec 6th, St Nicolas de Myre comes to town and hands out gifts and candies to children, they even have him in schools.
I think Coca Cola started using him for a campaign and turned him into Santa, but originally he's a christian saint.

I haven't had time to do anything on Xmas yet, I'll do sth with the young ones on the last day.

Indy, I hope you're having fun with your concerts.

I fell. My left leg gave out (like in January, when I spent 4 days in the hospital, and 6 weeks in live in rehab). It felt like a shock going up my leg. Mostly it feels muscular now. And, when I fell, I broke my right middle finger. Then, they told me to use my crutches since I can't put any weight on my left leg. Then, I fell into a cabinet, at home, using my crutches.

They (after the EMS ride to the ER) told me it was all in my head. It's snowing now, so I'll have to see my Dr. on Monday.

So, that's where I've been. And worrying it's not going to get better, but get worse again. Of course, if it's all in my head....morons.

I can't believe Dawnie hasn't been by.

4 inches of snow so far. The temperature dropped below freezing, so it's sticking. It's in that "ooh, it's so pretty" stage.

I still have up my fall decorations! Maybe some time in the morning to decorate before I have to go to the next concert.

Bunnykins- you are the first one with snow! We are supposed to have some over the week-end. We haven't had a good snow for 3 years, so this may be a snow year.

Now...... off to eat those little chocolate cups next to the cupcake stand.
