I don't see Ava as being materialistic, but I do see Zan as the type who would want to give her anything and everything whether she wanted it or not.

Not sure about the Taj Mahal, I will have to look it up. If he did then wow, that's awesome. I know the richest man in the world, Carlos something from Mexico, has a museum and named it after his late wife.
Most of the wives I am sure are not materialistic but the mean choose to do it nonetheless.

Think about it, there could be a lot of reasons why she had to leave and he didn't get to go with her. They were teenagers after all also.

I think it mostly has to do with me not understanding what would attract Padme to Anakin.

Maybe they do like to show off their wives, or just show off their money. They have this thing about showing who can have what. For example, i know a Russian Billionaire is building the largest yacht in the world now, and I am sure the Virgin Atlantic guy will soon try and beat him, because he owns the largest until the Russian billionaire's is completed.

Hmm it could be, I just never liked Anakin.

I reread those fics sometimes, when i have nothing to do, I reread favourite fics of mine, not necessarily only Roswell ones, there are a few Obidala and Spuffy and others.

I like the idea of her being a protector too, which is why I am more for her saving her planet than Max.

I can totally understand people having so much money that they don't know what to do with it and end up spending their money on silly crap.
Like I always say if I won lotto, what would I do with the winnings? I'd prob end up keeping it in a bank account.

Anakin had way too many flaws for him to be a character I ever like. He reminded me of Max.

I think I'm going to reread Providence. But sometimes when I reread a fic, I'll just skip to scenes I like.
So sometimes I can go straight to the last chapter

You are like me, I will save it or even invest a little. I only would use it for one of my dreams to tour Europe or go to Asia with my best friend like we have been saying.

Me too. Any money I spend will be used for seeing all of Europe, some of Asia, and of course Australia.

I like to think in FMax's timeline, Tess left and went to Australia

It's alright but lately I have been really interested in visiting this other place. It's like turning into this beautiful tourist place with the buildings and stuff.

Australia is my dream destination. I think because it's so far from where I live and in a different hemisphere so I want to experience something that is nothing like my home. Which is also why I'd like to travel to Japan.

I do the same thing. Like with Loving Destiny, I skip to all the Tess scenes.
Same thing with Ava the Queen.
All of What Is The Truth is great. This is my fav part:

"Alex, you didn't need to watch over me like this, I'm pretty capable for waking up in one piece without your eagle eyes on alert, " her eyes still closed, she sighed then groaned as the muscles across her back pulled from the stiffness. "Oh, my stars and garters, I so need to get out of this bed more."

He reached over and slowly shifted her up to a sitting position, watching with amusement as she stubbornly kept her eyes shut, as if trying to catch a few more moments of physical sleep while her mind was already functioning. Sitting on the bed, he cradled her for a moment rubbing her back.

She whimpered as he slowly worked some of the stiff muscles on her shoulders and back. "Geeze Alex, where did you learn to do that? Keeping me secrets from me now?" she smiled lazily and turned to hug him. "Hey, you've been working out?" she teased before turning her face up and opening her eyes.

For a moment, Max was afraid she was going to open her mouth and scream. But she didn't. Instead, she seemed to have been frozen in place, arms still wrapped around him, eyes wide with astonishment. "Hi Tess."

And it's hard to choose a fav part of Providence since Max is such a uck to Tess in that fic. I don't like it when Tess' heart is continually broken and the others disregard her feelings, as if being alien means she doesn't have any.
But I think my fav part is when Kivar is telling Max off, when he's telling Max how he knows he loves Tess and he knows why he denied it for so long. I was like, "Go, Kivar!"

Ah understood, my best friend wants us to go to Japan, so he says I need to save up for it. I just say yeah yeah yeah. Hopefully eventually we get to go though.

Oh the other place is Dubai, I just love the buildings and all the things they are doing to it now, I would love to visit it in the future. I only got interested in it like a couple months ago. I would love to go to some places in Europe.

I guess Alex wasn't that muscualr especially in comparison to Mac and Michael. I am not sure I can pic a favourite part or better yet line in fics, especially Roswell ones. I don't usually love for a specific line, but I might be able to find some if I really tried.

For Providence, anywhere where Tess was happy outside of the group was what I loved.

for me, it's not so much about the scenes being boring - because they are well written and it takes a lot of effort to make a good fanfic. It's more about me not caring about the other characters besides Tess and wanting the fic to be centered around her since the show didn't do that.

Yeah the shape of the world, they haven't finished it yet, I think it is suppose to finish next year, or the latest 09. People have already bought places on it. Dubai also has the worlds only 7 star Hotel, opened last year.

You make a good point, that could be the reason for me too. I just want to get into the climax of the fic, get to the good part of the story where something is happening.

I wasn't really paying attention to it when I first saw it, cause I was anxious to see what her reaction would be like. However, now I guess, I could say it was funny.

She was happy with Matt, then he was taken from her and she got sad again.

sometimes the build up is really fun too. Because that has the quiet, MT-shippy moments while the action scenes can't really have nice moments between them.

Her reaction was perfect. She has stunned silence, but she was still hopeful and hurt at the same time.
I can totally see that happening in the show - Tess wanting to let Max in again, but not really trusting him or having a fully healed heart.
I think after all the times Max told her he could never love her, she started to believe it.
