| I really enjoy Chuck, so am sorry to hear it is having renewal problems. Ros 10-2-00 - Nice photo of you and Anna. You are getting to be quite experienced at the film festival gatherings! Enjoy! OCF - That snake got a lot of laughs! For those of you who are Twilight fans--I was in a little town, Poulsbo, WA and walking the main street which is all of about four blocks long and saw a jewelry store with a sign in the window saying: Bella Twilight bracelets. I went in and was shown a sterling silver charm bracelet that had a wolf and a crystal on it. If you remember, in the book, Jacob gives her the wolf, and Edward gives her the crystal. Sixty bucks! I didn't buy it, but I took their card. They have a web site. Bayside Engravers, LLC. In case anyone is interested in checking it out. My favorite contestant on American Idol, Adam Lambert, came in the bottom three this last week. It seemed incredible to me. Feel better after seeing an article from some organization questioning the voting statistics. The judges couldn't believe it, either. I know people differ in music tastes. I can't believe how upset I will be if he doesn't win. You'd think I was his grandmother! Had a nice visit with old friends yesterday. Wonderful way to spend a day. Today we are having gorgeous weather and I actually did a bit of gardening. The Comcast truck was in our neighborhood so I asked the guy about boxes for our TVs for the digital change-over in June. He said he would come up and talk to us when he finished his present job. He says all stations from 30 up will be black without a box. I believe they give two boxes to customers, but we have five sets! We shall see what the story is soon. My husband was so sure we didn't have to do anything. I was sure we did. Onward. | |||

| Erin: Thanks for the SN link. This season has rocked and brought me back to watching it. I didn't watch it very much after they killed off their Dad, but this year it has really gotten good. Don't know how they're going to top it for next season. __________________ Member of Fan Forum since March, 2000. | ![]() Happy Birthday to those I've missed. In case I don't get back here before then... Happy Birthday to Nana on the 5th! Shade!!! How's it going? Aren't you a grandma now? OCF I was briefly thinking of paying you a visit... The Morels are done for the year here (I didn't find many. )... But they should be at peak in your area. ... Hubby would think I'm if I took a trip up there for Shrooms. ![]() LTL the auction went OK. Lots of bargains were had... I got an almost complete 12 pc place setting of Mikasa Kutani Bird china for $50! ... On the other hand 'bargains' aren't good for our company because we never get enough $$$ to cover what's owed us.At almost the last minute, my boss pulled the best lot from the auction. It's full of antique china, paintings, oriential rugs, silver, etc. and would not have brought near it's true value being auctioned at our warehouse. I got to hold a silver Tiffany and Co. martini shaker from 1896! The reason he gave is that there's an 'urn' (worth about $300) of cremains. He said that was too personal. So now I'm trying (mostly on my own time and at my own expense) to find the woman this stuff belongs to. There are so many historical and irreplaceable things that should be in a museum! Her gr-grandfather was the engineer that designed the layout of St. Louis! Instead of a stranger buying these things at auction, I'd rather she sell a couple of pieces to pay her bill and give the rest to relatives or historical societies. Did you know that if you file bankruptcy, the documents are put online? They're Public Records and anyone can get all the info in them... SS#, bank accounts, employment history, etc. My washing machine is half dead. The top of the agitator broke again. Hubby has repaired it before, but I think the electronics are going out. It pauses at strange times. So I was researching front loading machines online and they seem to have a problem with mold and mildew! I also discovered that you're not supposed to use regular laundry detergent in High Efficiency machines. AND the regular top-loaders may not clean as well as they used to because of new gov't standards on how much water can be used. So now I don't know what to buy! ![]() Boy1's house is progressing slowly... All the electrical wiring, plumbling and insulation is done... The drywall is screwed to the ceiling, but the seams aren't done and we haven't started on the walls... Some of the floor still needs replaced... Most of the siding is up... Later this month we're taking a week's vacation to replace the roof... ![]() ![]() Last Thursday we had a Board of Review hearing on the RE tax assessment for Boy1's house... We just showed him my pics of our progress on the house... The guy was very nice and understood what we're going through... He said he'd recommend the assessed value be lowered to $5,000! And gradually raised until we get it finished.Boy2 was suspended 3 days in March for fighting... He was also sent to the 'alternative school' for 6 days because he poked another student with an ink pen and it broke the skin. Last week he wanted a Nintendo DSI (hand-held video game system) and went looking for money in the house. He found $100 of mine and hid it in his room. He says he realized just how much $100 really is and decided to not use it for a selfish reason. So he put the $100 bill in a collection jar at school. (They were collecting to send clean water to kids in Mexico.) He also says that it never occurred to him to put it back where he found it. I say it dawned on him that we'd question where he got a $100 bill when it came time to buy the DSI and he didn't want to get caught with it. He paid me back (and got almost enough money for the DSI) by selling his Play Station 3 to his brother. (Now it's Boy2's $100 in the collection. )I gave him these choices: 1. His $100 stays in the collection. 2. I'd ask for the $100 back on the condition that he donate $20 (of his money) to the collection AND he would have to go 100 days without acquiring different video games and/or equipment. He chose option #1. ![]() Well that's been my life the last month... I need to get some work done over at the house. ![]() Later, __________________ jero ~ Roswellian and PROUD of it! ~ OTO ~ RDC ~ Campaigner rttavi ~ "In a blink, everything that could have been was gone." ![]() Cherie ~ Life is short, always eat dessert first. | Been gardening. Lots more to do. But bought a lawn swing for our small deck. We are expecting a wind storm tonight. Hope the swing survives. Not putting the cushions out. I can't wait for the grandgirls to see the swing and use it. As a child, I remember enjoying one at a friend's house. It is comfortable. Hope it proves to be something that gets a lot of use. It's right off the dining area, so I suspect it will when the weather permits. Ironed. Helped my friend, Nancy. And there goes the day! Jero - thanks for the advance wishes. Will take any I can get! I'll put them in my pocket for a rainy day...seems like there is a song that says that...Oh that is catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day. Well, I don't know why I couldn't do the same thing with birthday wishes! Take care. Dinner-time. ![]() | |||

Aw thanks Nana J yes I love Film Festivals they are wonderful. Really excited to be working behind the scenes as the logistics manager for my friends film festival coming this June in NYC. I am learning so much and it is a great experience! I saw Adventureland tonight and I LOVED LOVED it! It was so good! It made me want to be 17 all over again and relive the 80's granted I was 17 in 99 but still I love the 80's decade! Adventureland was hysterical and had a wonderful cast! Jessie Eisenberg stole the show along with Kristen Stewart I loved them! This movie reminded me so much of what it was like being 17 and growing up and I could totally relate to some of the things that happend in this movie. It was wonderful and the music was amazing! Aw I just love 80's music! Go see Adventureland you will love it! __________________ "Hi I'm Jason nice to meet you"~Jason Behr to me~5/8/07 ![]() "It was nice meeting you Erin"~Milo Ventimiglia to me~11/20/06 ~Proud member of The DSC!10/6/99-10/6/09~ Roswell celebrating 10 years of Alien Blasts,Tabasco Sauce, & It was you "OMG your the girl I didn't puke on"~Stephanie Meyer to me in reference to meeting her at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con~8/1/08 "We have work to do"~ The Impala road trip lives on! | Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Happy Birthday Nana Seriously I love my job! One of the place we are looking into to use for our closing night after party for the film festival invited my friends who are working the film festival with me I to the opening night party for Guys and Dolls in honor of the Tony Awards in NYC so we could get a feel for the place during a party. The Guys & Dolls party was amazing! They had it out side and had free food and drinks they even had live music and some of the cast sang the song "The guys is only doing it for some doll". Luck was a Lady Tonight! I met Oliver Platt & Lauren Graham who are in the cast at the event! They are really nice! It was great to meet them! Lauren Graham is a sweetheart! Oh and as a result of going to the party we get free tickets to see Guys & Dolls as well. Seriously I love my life! Oliver Platt, Lauren Graham, me, Lauren, and Janice at the opening night party for the Broadway show Guys and Dolls at MODA in NYC! 5/5/09 ![]() __________________ "Hi I'm Jason nice to meet you"~Jason Behr to me~5/8/07 ![]() "It was nice meeting you Erin"~Milo Ventimiglia to me~11/20/06 ~Proud member of The DSC!10/6/99-10/6/09~ Roswell celebrating 10 years of Alien Blasts,Tabasco Sauce, & It was you "OMG your the girl I didn't puke on"~Stephanie Meyer to me in reference to meeting her at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con~8/1/08 "We have work to do"~ The Impala road trip lives on! | ![]() Joshua Childers another Missouri Miracle! I don't know how much info is on the national news... It's incredible how everything 'aligned' for him... The guy who found him: Couldn't go to work that day, because of heavy rain the night before... He got separated from his search group and was trying to find a way back... If it hadn't been for the dogs, he would have walked right past the boy... Good thing those dogs were allowed to run free... They probably kept the boy warm at night too. ![]() Later, __________________ jero ~ Roswellian and PROUD of it! ~ OTO ~ RDC ~ Campaigner rttavi ~ "In a blink, everything that could have been was gone." ![]() Cherie ~ Life is short, always eat dessert first.
