OK, I kinda thought he was dead already too when I first heard it on the news today about Capt. Kangaroo. I remember watching that show when I was a wee one.

I saw "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" today. Very cute movie! I really enjoyed it. There were laughs and one time I had teary eyes. I adored seeing Josh on the big screen too. So glad I got to meet him a couple years ago.

Clay is on Ed in an hour!

Don't rush, Lady2theMax! JOA is a re-run. And I was all ready to settle in for a new ep.

I just talked to a little while ago -- she's sounding pretty good despite the diagnosis, and she'll be back home tomorrow afternoon. Her only complaint was that the hospital TV doesn't get all the stations she gets at home.

Lori: Thanks -- got your PM. And I gained 5 lbs. reading about the pies you had at school.

Vicki: How stupid of the police not to tell you about the break-ins! Besides making sure everyone protected themselves better, they might have gotten some help in spotting and catching the bad guys. Sheesh!

Hey, Groundhog! The Deadly golfer makes me think of Bill S. in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

thanette: Your Balachine ballet program sounded wonderful! Love the vodka and cakes, too.

You and I share the same approach to higher math -- remember it long enough to take the test. Of course, then I had to relearn some things when #2 son was taking Alg II and Trig, and #1 son -- the math whiz -- had gone off to college. It wasn't pretty.

Howdy: Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned -- hope the computer gets up and running smoothly.

BE: Shiri's got a delightful face, but I have issues with that hat.

Liz: On the other hand, the hat is better than her Xena 'do. She must have cringed when she saw that!

Ooh, Dancing Behr sounds good! Which reminds of a fic I've just started where Max is a dance teacher who is going to teach Liz how to salsa. This should be good!

Rest up, quinn!

WildH: Glad to hear you enjoyed the movie -- it looked like fun from the promos.

Gotta catch up from the last thread....

I just got back from the 'visitation'.
The little boy came outside with his SpED Teacher who volunteered to 'monitor' him for the family, and he said, "I'm going to wish a shiney penney on a star!"
Well my other co-worker fell in and asked, "What are you wishing for _____?"
"My Daddy to come back down from heaven!"

Then he grabs our hands and said, "Come on and see!"
He took us to the pew in front of casket and said, "Sit down and watch! My Daddy's going to come down from heaven and get his body out of that box! Watch!"
He just doesn't understand and might not ever.

Okay, on the 'up beat' side....
my Daddy came over and cut down dead limbs and carted them off and raked my front yard
I have the best Daddy

LTL was complaining about the lack of channels last night

Off to watch Clay

Lori: Your little student is so sad and sweet.

Catching up....

Kay and Brown Eyes: Forgot if I said how much I enjoyed your sky pix -- they are good for the soul.

Tek: That would make me nervous if people said they didn't recognize me either. Of course, our natural impulse is to think we look horrible!! No doubt it's the weight loss and your new air of sophistication that left your friends scratching their heads.

Tas!

LT...part of the reason for letting Hubble go is that the new version will be an order of magnitude better.
I thought they were making the point that the new one would be infrared and wouldn't give the kind of "real" image Hubble does. Plus, the new stuff won't be up for several years, although when you're peering back 4 billion years, I guess 5 or 10 years doesn't make much difference.

I agree on Seth and Anna -- they're killing the relationship before we've even had a chance to enjoy them.

teetee: That was a very touching story about the reservist who was called up. Sometimes we do need help in keeping things in perspective

Tiger: I know your temps have been lower than ours, but I am just so tired of being cold!!! I don't know how I survived up North all those years. :icicle_smilie:

Howdy: Keep us posted on your cousin -- what a long haul he has!

Think I'm going to do a little paperwork, then watch a couple of Farscape eps.

Hi there OTOs!

Hi LT!

A beating a day keeps the puns away...
but then I have...even less to say...
some of them...may make you groan...
while others still...may bring a moan...
like Seuss or Nash...I play with words...
sometimes they're more...or less absurd.

Living in A Daydream

Living in a daydream...
an Afternoon Delight...
perhaps not just a daydream...
it runs right through the night...
Am I awake....or dreaming...
is there any truth in here...
is it fact or fiction...
the distinction's not real clear...
Delusion or obsession?
she's with me everyday...
don't bother trying to wake me...
I like it fine this way.

A quizzy What Pre-1985 Video Game Character Am I?
I am a:
I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Though this one sounds better to me...

Hey Spam!

"What Video Game Character Are You? I am Mr Do."

I am Mr Do
I am sedentary by nature, enjoying passive entertainment, eating when the mood takes me, and playing with my food. I try to avoid conflict, but when I'm angered, I can be a devil - if you force me to fight, I will crush you. With apples.

I Am Breakout Bat!

I am an abstract sort of creature, who dislikes any sort of restraint. If you try to pigeonhole me, I'll break the box, and come back for more. I don't have any particular ambitions, I just drift, but I am adept at keeping life going along.

OK, that's scary!

And now I'm Tired Woman -- Try to stop me from going to bed, and I'll smash your Pong game.

Night, all!

I am I am a Gauntlet Adventurer.

I strive to improve my living conditions by hoarding gold, food, and sometimes keys and potions. I love adventure, fighting, and particularly winning - especially when there's a prize at stake. I occasionally get lost inside buildings and can't find the exit. I need food badly.

(If you were not a Gauntlet Adventurer you would be an Asteroid.)
