everyone was awaiting for the "miracle" that he couldn't do. He couldn't bring Alex back to life

Max definitely needed a hug.

There was so much pressure put upon Max, and you could see how he felt about failing to heal Alex.

JB looked really... unstressed in I married an alien. Maybe he liked shooting that episode? It must have been a change from the usual episodes.

He definitely just needed a friend, someone who could just be there for him, no strings attached, not asking for anything in return. That would have been optimal!

Ya usually he has to be all broody (even though we know there's always something more there) but in this episode he could just be funny, smile and smile adoringly at Liz!

He did. It was a very light episode compared to most of season three. You know, Max wasn't stressed out over finding his son for once.
