It's true that with them, the writers could really play and come with funny and witty lines. And BF and MD really delivered. It's great when the writers take advantage of actors's talents and chemistry. It's so much better for viewers!

I totally agree with what all of you have said regarding the writers using MD and BFs comedic skill. They did the same thing with Kyle/Nick. Evolved his character to incorporate Nicks natural charm.

I think Kyle became a loveable character because of NW. In the books, he wasn't a nice guy, the writers could have easily wrote him that way in the series but I think NW's personality influenced them and they turned him into this funny Buddha boy.
