Max and Liz's wedding got nominated into a new poll at Lovetripper.com magazine

Hi! I'm the assistant editor of Lovetripper magazine, an online site dedicated to romantic travel. We've recently launched a Romance Hall of Fame section, featuring the top 10 in the fields of TV, movies and music, as voted on by our readers. Our April contest centered on the Top 10 sci-fi TV couples of all time, and-- with the help of Roswell fans-- both Max and Liz and Michael and Maria made the list: Romantic Ideas Blog: Roswell: Max and Liz # 2 in Romance Hall of Fame Sci-Fi TV Couples Category Romantic Ideas Blog: Roswell's Michael and Maria: #8 in the Romance Hall of Fame's Sci-Fi TV Couples Category For our June contest poll, we are asking readers to vote for their favorite TV weddings of all time. As Max and Liz's wedding-- as well as that of Isabel and Jesse-- are on the list, I thought the news might be of interest to Shiri's fans. To enter, fans simply pick out their favorite couple from the list, then tell us why that wedding is their favorite. A selection of comments for the top 10 shows chosen by our readers will be included in the Romance Hall of Fame. The other time i didn't know about it so i couldn't vote. But this time i did (well the other time no one voted from this board, it seems. Still M&L won the second place in the top 10 most romantic sci.fi couples)

I really think that M&L's wedding is the best

also Liz was such a beautiful bride

at Isabel's wedding (that is in the list too) he looked at her in awe

Apart from the moments with Max i loved her in the pilot too because she started to protect them from the beginning. You know she wasn't forced to do it and she had everything to lose there, still she didn't care.

I'm not a big fan of the arc when Alex died and i don't like her behavior toward Max just like i don't like his toward her.. BUT i love how she didn't believe that Alex could commit suicide. In the end she saved them all because she didn't give up, she was brave and determined and she found the truth. If Liz wouldn't have done it then Max and Isabel would have been dead too now or trapped into a world where they could only be miserable and survive until they would have finally executed because they had no hope.

I agree. Alex dying and Max and Liz being pitted against each other over his death was horrible. I loved Alex and Liz's friendship and I'm glad that Liz didn't believe his death was a suicide. In the end Liz was right and saved Max, but I wish it wasn't at the expense of losing Alex.

i even understood the logic of that charts the girl is a genius
but really she was so damn cute <3 she really believed in it

I agree. Alex dying and Max and Liz being pitted against each other over his death was horrible. I loved Alex and Liz's friendship and I'm glad that Liz didn't believe his death was a suicide. In the end Liz was right and saved Max, but I wish it wasn't at the expense of losing Alex.

But the writers wanted to force the soap opera and use them in order to get rid of Tess

So true. Both Max and Liz were used as pawns and I felt sorry for them, especially Max because he didn't know the truth and had to put up with Tess. Liz telling Max the truth would have been lovely, and spared them both heartache and pain in the long run. But looking on the bright side, I don't ever see Liz and Max making those same mistakes again and "destiny" is a lost cause where they're concerned.

God that storyline was the most forced thing ever. She had no reason to not tell him especially when Alex died. it was THE time.
The future had already changed. But even if she didn't want to tell him it's absurdity that they made it seems that Liz totally forgot about it, in the first place.
Liz is not stupid and if she couldn't tell Max the truth then she would have talked with him knowing what *he* knew

oh sure enough they won against it
it made me proud of them.

the only interesting thing about "destiny" was how the characters got rid of it and proved that real things and nature are important and not what some crazy people wanted them to do.

I agree. The storyline was forced and the only way they could get Max to give Tess the time of day. Liz wasn't stupid and she should have told Max the truth as soon as she told him about the granilith. I don't believe Max was stupid either, and he didn't need Liz helping him along the road to "destiny." I'm sorry TPTB felt the need to take Max and Liz down a road that they never should have gone in the first place, but I'm also glad that they were happy together in the end.

Crazy is the right word. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around Max having to perform mating rituals with Tess because they lived a past life together. Mind you, the mixing of alien and human DNA while reincarnating Max tells me that he was not Zan of Antar. Suspension of disbelief comes in very handy when one wants to decipher the legend of kings, queens, and countrymen in alien history.

I agree. But those were the worst episodes EVER to watch. It was literally the humans vs. the aliens.

true, it was like.. one good thing (Liz finding the truth about Alex) vs TONS of bad out of character things that almost destroyed the show.
and i'm not talking about M&L only here but the group too. they're friends, they always worked together the humans vs aliens things was ridiculous.

when you created a couple so in love and intense the only way you have in order to break them up for a while and create drama is: create stupid forced storylines using a lie.
It's very telling that they needed to make Liz lie to him in order to put him with Tess for.. one episode? and they weren't even a couple because even them Max was everything but happy and no matter what he always loved Liz, even when his Liz was bad in that moment and he didn't know the truth about her.
Basically Tess needed Liz's help in order to get a damn chance and after a whole year and only in the worst time of his life when he thought that he had lost everyone. whoa!

exactly, they aren't really them. They can't be for very obvious reasons.
i love this show, i really do but it's flawed and i'm not blind enough to not realize it. And its flaws aren't "evil Tess" .The real flaws and storyline that didn't make sense started WAY BEFORE than departure. Destiny was the #1 one
departure created more sense for destiny because with the informations we have know it makes sense that Nacedo and Tess pushed Max so much about destiny but not Michael and Isabel. Before there was no useful reason then you got the reason: the deal. Kivar wanted a son from Max not Michael.

i wish that introducing an new character didn't mean that they had to create all these BS that only ruined the show.. but oh well....

It's the old tried and true soap opera tactic, only this time it was with aliens and a baby. Tess had everything served to her on a silver platter where Max was concerned because of Liz, but she still wasn't happy and couldn't even do that right.

Let's see: Max and Tess having a past life as Zan and Ava on Antar was true, Max performed a mating ritual with Tess on Earth and got her pregnant was true, Max and Tess being married as king and queen on Earth was untrue, Max screwing Liz over and choosing and falling in love with Tess was untrue, Max still loving and wanting Liz after going down destiny's path is true, and last but not least FATE kicked "Destiny's" ass is true!
