Yep, Maria's hair in the beginning sucked. She was much better when 285 south aired.

ITA! I don't know what they were thinking having Maria's hair so rubbish at the beginning of the series. It was MUCH better when she grew it out into that pixie cut. And especially after seeing how gorgeous she looked with longer hair...I did wonder why they ever went that short.
