Nice nicknames which suited Max and his relationship with Liz. Maria had eyes and she saw, in his behavior, that he could be nicknamed Romeo. I wonder if she called Liz "Juliet" ?

I think maybe she would call him "sister", to go on with the "girlfriend" one.

i can see Maria calling him like that

i don't remember if she called Liz "juliet" but in season 3 she told her that they [M&L] were like modern R&J alone against the world

Maria is a clever and clairvoyant girl. I always thought that had the shooting not happened, she would have done the impossible for Max and Liz to be together. Maybe she would have talked to Max first, to see who he really was and if he was a good guy ? What do you think, credible scenario ?

Yeah, she was pro-Max and Liz before the shooting. So I can see her becoming friends with Max and then, trying to do her best to hook them up.

After Destiny, we know that Max and Maria chatted a lot and became friends. Did Max confide in Maria, about the first time that he met Liz ? I think it's something private but Max probably wanted to talk and Maria was there to listen so...

I definitely think so, it was one of his happy memories during a rough time

I wonder what was Maria's reaction to that revelation. That Max had loved Liz from the first time he had seen her. I mean, it could show her that aliens, once they love someone, they love that person for the rest of their lives. That maybe aliens can only love one person?

I could see a part of her wanting that for Michael but the other part of her being bitter about him avoiding her.

I wonder about that fact. I think she would be intrigued that a little child could fall in love and stay in love for so long. Wouldn't she wonder if Zan inside Max hadn't played a role in that ?

I'm not sure. She didn't really know much about their past lives but she probably did wonder.

Of course! She'd think it was his duty as her girlfriend to do her hair. I see her choosing a new look for him as a trade.

You should read that fic "girlfriend style", I think was the title. It had Max and Maria going on a road trip and becoming friends.

Oh, which look would have Maria chosen, for Max ?
