How did you get into Roswell? Why was it special to you and why after 10 years are you still in love with Roswell?

I'm Italian so i started to watch it when it firstly aired in my country. I didn't know about the fanforum and everything related to fandoms.. i just was a fan
Then i discovered this site but i was a lurker for some years before I finally started to post (you don't know how hard it can be for someone who isn't american or english)

Remember the pilot when Maria said "oh Max Evans is staring at you again" and Liz looked in Max's direction and for some small seconds we got a glimpse of his eyes looking at her? **
That's the moment i was hooked. Then the shooting scene happened, he went to her, he started to heal her... all those flashes of them as kids.. the music... the look they shared when he left the crashdown *________* Pure magic!
The pilot was what got me hooked, i love everything about the pilot.
The reversed connection scene is one of my fav.. it felt so intimate to me. And the chemistry between Max and Liz.. so powerful. I never saw anything like that.
I also instantly loved Liz/Maria/Alex and the 3 aliens

Basically, i instantly loved everything and i wanted to see more.

** in that moment i also realized (and i wasn't the only one ) that the guy was the hot guy from an advertising that aired in Italy

I also remembered Jason from Dawson's creek.. i always liked him

I realized that he not only was hot but he was a great actor too! I don't think that a better Max could've been chosen. Jason was the perfect choice.

It's not a mystery that Max and Liz are my all the time OTP. They're the only couple in all the tv-shows i watched that really made me believe in soulmates beyond legends.
They're connected in a way that goes beyond time and space, they feel each other, he loved her since the first time his eyes lied on her when he was a little boy who didn't even know who he was.. and they saved each other life so many times. No matter what and who you could see that they belonged to each other and only together they were stronger, complete, happy. It was so concrete. I couldn't help but root for them and hope that they could be finally happy in the end. (Glad that it happened

I also love the show as a whole, i liked the CC couples and the original characters. I like all the seasons. The first one is my fav then i love season 3 and 2

what made this show so special?
I don't know why but there's something about it... It's different.
Maybe i just love that for once i can watch a show with authentic couples both romantic and platonic . Unlike other shows the writers didn't play too much with soap opera.
I also love how this show can be very metaphorical about our world. It's a show with aliens and sci.fi but it's the most real show i ever watched. The humanity of the alien characters amazed me and it's the show' strength. You can relate to the characters that are never one dimensional.

You know, I was thinking about it the other day, thinking about how I enjoyed all the CC couples on this show. And that is so rare for me.

On today's television shows, I usually don't enjoy some couple who is classified as CC, usually the main couple. But I always liked Max and Liz together, not to the same level that I liked Michael and Maria, but I still liked them a lot. And I liked Isabel and Alex and Tess and Kyle (I lump Lamptrimmers into CC even though they were never really together.) Even though there are certain UC pairs I can tolerate, I really believe that this show captured a magic in the way they portrayed the relationships.

Max and Liz were obviously the "soul mates" of the show. Often, I find myself turned off by the couple that's so obviously meant to end up together, the pairing that's thrown at you right in the very first episode. Not the case with these two.

Michael and Maria . . . my personal OTP for this show. They're soul mates, too, even though they didn't know it for awhile. What attracted me to this relationship was how real it seemed. On a show about aliens, this relationship had so much humanity. And they were always together, even when they weren't.

Isabel and Alex don't get nearly enough credit in this fandom, but I adore their relationship. I also thought they had a very realistic relationship. To this day, I still can't believe they killed Alex off. He was the most relatable character on the show.

And Kyle and Tess. So much wasted potential, but I love what fanfic has to offer them. I absolutely loved their dynamic and the sides of Tess that we saw through her interaction with Kyle. Even though they were never really a couple, they're my second favorite couple from the show.

Nowadays on TV shows, characters tend to sleep around, and everything becomes this tangled web of sex and lies and jealousy. Not to say that isn't entertaining once in awhile, but Roswell, as sexy as it was, had an innocence about it that still appeals to me; because it wasn't just depicting sexuality between its characters. It was showcasing love stories.

ETA: And also, the music on this show kicked ass. It really inspired me to develop my music obsession.

God, I miss this show. It's truly one of my top fave shows, and very much connected with memories I hold dear to me, and that makes the show 1000x special for me.

From the moment I watched the Pilot, I got hooked up on all the characters, the relationships, the frienships and layers of the show.

Sometimes I grab my DVD, rewatch some episodes and relive those awesome memories of the show

I can never get tired of it.

That would be wonderful! We need to start sending those out to the Networks!

Also we need a postcard to send to the Families of SMA being we raised over 80,000 dollars with the Zeke Lerner Bowl-A-Thon an event that was created by the fans of Roswell who wanted to help Garrett Lerner and his family and helped raise over 80,000 dollars if not more for this wonderful cause.

We could even put in a nice post card saying We still believe in Miracles thank you for touching our lives and enriching our hearts love the fans of Roswell.

Ohhh ROSWELL. It changed my life completely. My first tv show, my first OTP, my first sites, forums...my first everything

Can you imagine that FIRST thing I googled EVER was "Roswell"

I remember it like it was yesterday, I was siting in my brother room after watching S1 episode on TV. I was like "God, I have to find some pictures from this show"

And I've found Polish Roswell Forum! It was called "Roswell Komnata" (Roswell Chamber)---->I've spent the best days chating with my online Roswell friends. We know each other in real life and some of us are friends now

Roswell IS the best tv show ever made. Why? Great music, real characters, amazing love storylines (alien&human omg), very talented actors, BEST FRIENDSHIP NOT DESTROYED BY CHEATING, LYING ECT....

No the anniversary for Roswell is October 6th when it fist aired but we are starting the celebrating early being September is when the show started in the Pilot with September 23rd when Liz was shot and Max healed her.
