Yeah, season 3 has few redeemable moments like Michael healing Isabel and when his inner Rath confronts Jessie. I would have loved to see Isabel's character development to a brave independent woman taking on the world instead of the weird married I'm trying to be 40 thing and then Michael seeing her grow and realizing she's what he needs as alien challenges come their way. That's season 3 in my head.

I agree, in season 3, Isabel was just trying to live a lie, & the harder she tried to fake it, the more obvious that she must have been struggling with something else deep down...

I love that part!
I feel like they never wanted to consider their relationship and Isabel just kept going after older guys. As an escape maybe, from the alien stuff and Roswell even.
I really like the Royal 4. I was hoping for just a chance with them. Like, if they went out a couple of times just to see if there was something more. Idk.

I don't think we ever saw Isabel really have deep feelings for anyone. Yeah, she went after Grant & Jesse, but it never really felt like she had deep feelings for them. & with Alex, I think she did like him as friend, but because she was lonely, she decided to give a relationship a shot too, but again, it never felt genuine to me

I think that if Michael & Isabel had ever opened that door just a little bit, it would have changed everything & there would have been no going back

Yeah, that's true. She and Alex had a special friendship but it seemed more like they were going out because everyone in their friend group were dating.

Yeah, he was just convinient to her. Max & Michael both suddenly had girlfriends for the first time ever - & Alex was someone who knew their secret & made it pretty obvious that he was at Isabel's beck & call, so I think she just went with it

It's too bad that Leanna wasn't real or that they didn't write another girlfriend for him. I think it showed that he wasn’t just all about Isabel.

But it could have been what made her really get into older guys. Like maybe she thought all guys her age would be goofy or immature. Something like that.

This was so heartbreaking. I remember I was so mad at Michael for giving up on his family. The whole episode sucked for Cliffie fans and the mess with Tess... I just didn't see the point of getting her pregnant and killing Alex. So many other ways the series could have gone, that drama turned me off from watching the next season back then (eventually did a couple of years later).
