You know now it's funny to think that they had to use the end of the world plot to try to break up them and they still fail.

EOTW might have been iconic, but it wasn't for all we already know.

Pretty much. So much wasted potential.

I have to admit they were quite creative though.

Well, their love was so strong that they had to figure it out .. and yet the key there was Liz lying.

of course

Even the scene they cut *Liz telling Max the truth* was terrible.

As they always say the truth will set you free.

However in Liz's case she couldn't tell the truth to the one person she loved the most because it would have destroyed him.

As Max said to her now my life is in your hands.

She kept his life safe and made sacrifices but in the end the truth set them free once they came clean with one another and were honest.

From the moment that Liz was forced to lie we should have already known that nothing good could come next.

I agree and that's exactly why it didn't surprise me how the MT ended.

I do not know. I will take Departure over how Destiny ended. By the end of Departure. Max was saved by Liz. They were in each other's arms. Sure, they were facing a lot of angst as they tried to recover from it. But they find out the truth. Max defended Liz to Tess. And in the end, they had chance.

While Destiny which I love the 2/3 of, until they go to the cave. It has Liz walking from Max. Especially after he was just kidnapped and tortured.

I agree, Season 2 was a mess. All over the place. Today, it is more watchable to than living through the season at the time. They were going different directions. And you did not have a sense of a cohesion of a season.

So, I will take Departure. Even if it's angsty. By the end, Tess is gone.

Yes, by the end of Season 2. It was stronger for Michael and Maria. Which is good given I love them too.

But still I will take Departure for the ending...

And for Liz saving the day.

I must be the only dreamer who hates departure , especially knowing that s3 did nothing to fix the damage.

Departure was all over the place! I wish they had not cut the episode I mean it didn't make any sense to cut the scene where Liz tells Max about future Max to keep the Chinese Mustard scene with Isabel.

Future Max was the cliffhanger and critical point in season 2.
