For many years had severe writers block. Started but couldn't finish. I would work on it, and another story that still sits on the shelf. I would play with it, but didn't finish them and I credit hearing about the Roswell reboot. It got me writing up a storm, because of our love for this version, and taking the courage to post, and see how people would respond to the stories.

Reunion became long, so I started a second one to finish it, and then my dark and twisted side came out when I worked on it too much and then because of the carnage I unleashed, I had to do a third to clean it up.

The third is much shorter by little more than 20 chapters LOL. Still it's long.

Fanfiction is fantastic because it allows you to see our version with new eyes, or use the keyboard to come up with a better solution than the writers gave us.

Mostly I use the canon of our version with some tweaks occasionally. Use most of the history, good and for bad, with slight alterations at times.

My problem is that with Reunion since it spawned too other stories. Trying to remember what I wrote before or back in the beginning. And some of the little elements of each characters. Ages and such, so I think I might have little twisted in the third to make a story line possible, but it was a nice side story to the bigger darker story.

Keeps me loving our version. Warts and all. Max and Liz. I give a lot of angst, but giving them a happy ending is always good...

I agree as I often said fan fic writers should of written for the show. The ideas they came up with were amazing!

Jasper1975 10 years I can totally relate. The one fan fic that I love has taken me over 15 years to finish. I started it I think back in 2005 and then I had writers block for 8 years. I am now slowly getting back into it.

I agree anything by Breathless is amazing! One of my favorites is Maxeo and Liziet based off of Romeo and Juliet.

Ok, I'm starting "Reunion" and I'm loving Grace and Jake so far

It is incredible Roswell NM and Shiri/Jason did it, I have read dremars fics again and even the Roswell group on Facebook is more active than ever.

Our version didn't have bad ideas, but some of the solutions they came up were extreme. Some of it was pretty standard soapy stuff that you would expect. Still it gives fanfiction writers a bases to write from, or to improve. I mostly keep the warts of Max and Liz love story, but provide a new way to look at it.

Except Reunion where I wiped the baby away, or at least Max's paternity claim and kept the gang in Roswell with barely a mention of what happened at Graduation. Life became complicated afterwards, which is a understatement.

Most of the other stories, I keep it mostly true to the events of what happened, for good and for bad, with some tweaks.

You can't help but believe in Roswell, and Max and Liz because of Jason and Shiri. Their chemistry made that kind of love believable even if it was fiction.
