I can never get it right. Whether it was the 18th or 19th. In the pilot, when you count back from when Liz says she's writing in her diary. Hard to believe. Even though the pilot aired in October...

Starting my series marathon again. On early Season One. So interesting to see them back when they were young, and naïve and unsure about what the shooting in the Crashdown started... That Pandora Box Max opened with the healing of Liz.

Gotta say Kyle came a long way. He was a guy you wanted to strangle for large part of Season One. Blind Date started the change... But still, unfortunately we had to lose Alex. But I loved they did find a way to use Kyle...

LOL. And later on in the season One. The Crashdown shooting was dated as the 17th of September...

Funny in the pilot. Liz is seen starting her story saying it was the 23rd. And it was five days before. And the end said it was the next day, but it was still five days since the shooting...

One of the quirks.

Must say I much prefer Valenti as a allie to the group than the villain cop he was until the Convention LOL. They way he was so hard on Diane Evans in Toy House to be suspicious of her own son. Of course Max's actions had to be suspicious. But Valenti was hardass in her quest to make it more...

Saw Max and Liz's first kiss yesterday. So beautiful, so passionate...

They still mean something after all these years...

You know, I used to think Shining Light was a weird upbeat song to end on. The show ends with the kids losing their homes, their families, their dreams and their futures to go on the run which they can't do forever but I was struck recently how the lines in Shining Light echo Romeo's most famous lines.


Romeo: O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!

Oh, I did not realize that before. I always thought they were totally Romeo and Juliet but with a *happy* ending. Yes , they had to leave everything behind but they were together and stronger then ever.
