Most of the time that the episode is dated in June, which is why I like to celebrate their anniversary on May 14th. And it's just easy given it was the date of the series finale. But yeah they probably stopped within days of leaving to get married. Given I doubt they would have wanted to wait, but really it could have been anytime. But only we know that they are married when Liz sends the diary and the letter home to her father to explain. So it could not have been that long after they vanished.

Aw I never noticed that before. Wow then that tells me they were in the run and grabbed what ever worked for them.
Maria's outfit is very bohemian but she tended at times to wear some stuff like. Michael does look similar to the top he wore in Vegas. Kyle looks completely different than he would typically wear. But given they all were running. I am not sure they had time to go home and collect their belongings. So they all had to do some shopping to pick up supplies. And clothing...

Yes I agree the wedding dress was more formal for the event. I loved the dress we got it seemed to fit Liz especially being she slightly showed her stomach where Max healed her.
Never thought of that before. But given they probably were on a budget. And trying to keep simple. They probably were able to find something simple yet still a clearly white wedding dress. And Max in a suit...

Yes a thrift shop I could totally see them going to.
Given unless they used their powers to create money. They probably had to keep a eye on finances. And probably would have stopped off, especially if they had replenish all their wardrobes. And given Isabel and Maria are known to like clothes and shopping. They probably would have found something perfect. And given they probably didn't have a lot of time and expense...

Stopping at the chapel probably was the expense. It was perfect that they were able to find a small white chapel. Showed they wanted to do it right. And it's not like they could go to any government building and do it at city hall! Was perfect.

I know in those books released after the show ended, they returned to Roswell - so I'll always just pretend that happened in the show

Really wish the finale could have been two hours and they could have expanded on things and tied up even more of the storyline. I'm glad we got what we did, though. Especially the wedding in the end.

Oh I am sure they did return, whether you take the book's word for it or not. I haven't read the book - didn't know there was one. But given they are approaching their 13th wedding anniversary. I assume they eventually did return. I don't think they could have held out even if they had found a home away from Roswell that was safe where they could visit with family or not...

I like to think eventually they were able to go back. I am curious if they did go back, what they would have done with their lives. Or were they exposed in Roswell or still keeping their secret.

My thinking is their clothing is from thrift shops as well. I mean I don't see either that they would've have their things with them considering they thought they had twelve days to prepare and leave.
I would've loved a two hour finale!!! So much had to be fit into that one hour! We're lucky to get what we got from them.
The fact that there were books is news to me. Where did the books come from? I mean who wrote them?

ROSWELL BOOKS

After some serious digging (it’s funny because I spent days looking for these and I had totally given up. But, today I gave it another go and, surprisingly, found most of them) I am quite happy to share these with you. Forever bitter that I’ll probably never get to own them, I have to encourage those of you who actually can get a hold of a copy to buy these books, especially if you’re as big of a Roswell fan as I am. Also, I couldn’t find 'No Good Deed', 'Little Green Men' and 'Skeletons in the Closet' anywhere which sucks, I know. So, once again, if anyone ever happens to come across them online or knows where they can be read, I’d highly appreciate the info. Ok, enough already, let’s get to the good part.

RoswellHigh Series - As you know, it all started with these books…

The Outsider by Melinda Metz (September 1998)
The Wild One by Melinda Metz (November 1998)
The Seeker by Melinda Metz (January 1999)
The Watcher by Melinda Metz (February 1999)
The Intruder by Melinda Metz (May 1999)
The Stowaway by Melinda Metz (April 2000)
The Vanished by Melinda Metz (May 2000)
The Rebel by Melinda Metz (June 2000)
The Dark One by Melinda Metz (July 2000)
The Salvation by Melinda Metz (August 2000)
The Roswell High books can all be found in EPUB format, here. [zip]

Loose Ends Series - The books in these series take place during Season 2.

Loose Ends by Greg Cox (May 2001)
No Good Deed by Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch (August 2001)
Little Green Men by Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch (April 2002)

New Beginning Series - The first four books take place between seasons 2 and 3 and the last four take place after the show ended.
Shades by Mel Odom (September 2002)
Skeletons in the Closet by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin (November 2002)
Dreamwalk by Paul Ruditis (January 2003)
Quarantine by Laura J. Burns (March 2003)
A New Beginning by Kevin Ryan (June 2003)
Nightscape by Kevin Ryan (July 2003)
Pursuit by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin (August 2003)
Turnabout by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin (November 2003)

Here you'll find some links to some of the books. ---->guerins

I had never read the books as well, so im excited.

I own the first five of the original Roswell High They came in a set.

I borrowed many others from the library, but can't remember which ones I read.

These two books:

Pursuit by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin (August 2003)
Turnabout by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin (November 2003)

Are the two that tell us what happens after the series ended. Including the kids returning to Roswell. The rest are more like companion books I believe, that take place during the events of the series. They're extremely rare and hard to find/expensive if you do find them.

Here is what happens in those two books:

Interesting. I think I have one of the Loose End series books. Didn't care for it. Interesting ending. I didn't really think Isabel and Jesse were destined by the end of the series. Kyle was more her speed. Which is why I like to think of them together in my fanfics. And interesting about Kyle and the question of powers. Does that mean any one else Max saved (meaning Valenti, the kids would?)

The thing with the books and the television show, hard to know if that would have been the route the television show would have taken.

Given they were running so quickly. After discovering at graduation that they didn't have time on their side. They really couldn't grab a lot. Although Max and Liz knew they were leaving together. The group of six really sprung up quickly and spur of the moment. They thought Michael was already gone. So Michael probably was able to grab a bag of stuff...And Maria and Kyle decided at the last minute to join.

So probably couldn't go home and grab stuff. Given the incident at graduation meaning people could be watching the families. And Valenti helped in that he gave the false tip that they were going south (I believe).

So yeah thrifty shops would have been the low seen option to go shopping. And with the girls knack at shopping, they probably were able to get what they could.

And especially a hippie bohemian type wedding dress which is very different for 2002. So they probably found a vintage thrifty shop...

I just read it "Quarantine"! Why the show was unable to give us some of Max/Liz's fears and see them really faced their problems?.

@MiniElky thanks for the info.

I didn't mind the tv series books (the best ones I thought were: A New Beginning & Nightscape) but I have read better fanfic honestly... especially where the loose ends series was concerned.

I'd want to read the New Beginnings books out of curiosity, but yeah it seems the consensus is poor writing lol
