Max was lost and sure enough human Liz didn't need dirty tricks and powers in order to make him like that or make him notice her or make him see her in slow motion (the convention )

you can notice weird shoes in the scene from sexual healing when they're in the girls locker room (but also in departure. She was wearing hells while they were running down the mountain )

that's another thing i love about them, the way they accept each other without having to even think about it. For them it's simply natural.
Liz never wanted him to change himself for her, he loved him for him and she didn't care if he was an alien or another thing. She saw inside him, she saw *him*, his real self, what is the most important thing, and she loved *him*.
she always accepted him and the word "accepted" isn't even correct for her because she didn't even think that she had to accept him, in the first place. he just was Max, the guy she loved. period.

I love that scene. My favorite part is when Liz goes to walk away in utter embarrassment and Max calls her back all sweet and nervous, lol. It was perfect until the gym teacher ruined the moment yelling for Liz.

And the way he delivered this line:

Nope. Liz was just herself and Max was a goner. It was all au naturel.

remember Liz said the same thing in the pilot "i could feel everything he was feeling"
they're one intense couple.

and most important he never thought that she was a man (Nacedo) using a female body in order to seduce him

he didn't know if it was his of hers for obvious reasons LOL
so he had to understand

it's not easy to understand how he could feel in that moment. You watch him he's handsome and he has a beautiful soul.. every woman would love him.
but for him it's different because he's different. He always felt insecure because of his origins
we can say that Max never pretended to be who he wasn't because he always was very "realistic" about himself and at the same time Liz never pretended that he wasn't alien (sometimes she even was the one who reminded him that), it simply wasn't *the* problem for her.

Max and Liz were one intense couple with an amazing bond.

I remember seeing some of that somewhere. I actually prefer the one the aired. The original felt a bit too awkward with Maria there.

i think that they have a great intimacy for this reason too. because they're not only very passionate toward each other and they have a great attraction and ust... they also have a connection that goes beyond physical
i can't imagine what it means to experience such a powerful bond.. to feel what the other is feeling. It's amazing.

who knows maybe Max was gay and he didn't know it
but from what i saw when he was with Liz i doubt it so i will think that he obviously couldn't know that Tess was actually a woman because the fantasies weren't his. Otherwise he would have realized that she was a "she" without any doubt, i guess

the fantasy is already hot in the definitive version too but i don't understand why they cut the rest. too risqué? well they have other scenes that are hotter and explicit



Notice how in the first season he was the protective one who didn't want to start a relationship with her because he was scared and he didn't want to put her in danger while Liz had the words "kiss me now" written all over her face everytime they were together and she didn't care about danger.
Then in the second season they switched roles.
Max was the one chasing her and he didn't care about destiny, diversity etc etc. He understood that they had to be together because they couldn't deny their love for each other. Especially after the white room. Remember how in destiny he even said it? he didn't want to lose precious time again. But Liz on the other hand became the scared one who didn't want to be with him because she wanted to protect him and she saw herself as a problem for him.
Then in the third season they finally were the same especially after chant down babylon
They understood that they couldn't deny their love for each other and after so much pain they were sick of being separated and miserable and they just wanted to be together, no matter what. They tried, they won.
3 seasons and each of them is a different stage of a relationship, for me.




they didn't even boast about their love, if you think about it.
It was always other people, the writers, the facts of the story, that said that they were unique and soulmates but M&L never called them selves like that (even if they considered the other their soulmate for obvious reason but it was natural) and they never said that they were better than other people. For them they just loved each other and they wanted to be together and happy. For them it was more a matter of facts than words.
There're many couples from many tv-shows who call them selves soulmates or epic but they're only words.

That scene was cut from Sexual Healing because at the time it was considered too racy to be seen on TV. Now a days that sene would be considered innocent. It is amazing how much has changed in 10 years!
