that scene is so touching. it's like one of those scenes in movies that you just can't forget.
they wanted to transform their remaining 12 days into 12 lifetimes but in that moment they realized that they didn't have even those 12 days anymore

but they didn't even care, as long as they were together they had no regrets.

i just wanted them to be finally happy <3
it's good that Michael came back and saved him before it was too late otherwise Max would have sacrificed his life for her, again.

Who knew one look could portray so much love and devotion?
But Max & Liz had the whole one look and take my breathe away thing going on perfectly.

That scene always made me cry.
And that was always just before I stopped crying from the proposal scene.

What I always loved was they lived their love to the fullest.
And no matter what happened, they had no regrets.

that was the first time she got the flashes and she even saw the royal seal of antar, even if in that moment we didn't know that it was the royal seal.

you know what i love about roswell?
It can be a show with many imperfections but for some things you always find the right pieces of the puzzle
for example after this scene he said that he didn't remember that night. I always thought that it wasn't really true or that he was confused but he remembered it later. I can get the clues seeing some scenes after that episode. To me it was obvious that he remembered and i think that he "exploded" in sexual healing because of blind date and what had happened there too.
Then in the third season you get the confirmation that this assumption is true. In chant down babylon when Max died and Clayton got his body along with the memories from Max's soul one of the flashes he got was Liz's face from that episode. it was Liz looking at him from the 'what's so great about normal' scene i even made a banner that is in the intro of this thread.
So i think that Max remembered very well and he cherished that memory very much because it's the one he sent to Clayton the most
the scene when Clayton looked at himself/Max in the mirror and asked him what he wanted and then got the flash of Liz. whoa it always sent shivers up to my spine.
She is his whole life, the only thing that made his soul survive after death. He survived only for her, in order to protect her even after his death.

He definitely remember Blind Date after awhile, I mean he has a flash of the events of Blind Date when him and Liz are falling to their deaths in Chant Down Babylon. I wonder when he remembered though. Probably after he sobered up a bit! He didn't want to say anything though especially during Michael situation but after that he just couldn't hold it in any longer. He had to have her, he had to be with her and that lead to hot kisses in the kitchen, with strawberries dropping on the floor

and the whole sexual healing episode!

i agree with everything you said. If i can be honest when i watched the kiss (the one i posted) i always thought that in that moment he wasn't drunk anymore because he suddenly was so serious when he kissed her. You can see a change there.

Of course we have many professions of love between them, it's not that they ever hide it. But in that moment it was a bit different and he was so protective toward her, he didn't want to put her in danger and denied himself and them what he wanted the most.

You're right his whole mind and his whole heart were eternally wrapped around Liz.
It was always about Liz.
She was his whole life, his only reason, his everything.

Even Tess told Liz in Four Aliens and a Baby that Max
was always thinking about Liz, but Tess tried to block it out.
That goes to show you just can't mess with the amazing love Max + Liz have!
And Tess found that out the hard way!

it's one of the reasons of why i never felt pity for her.
She knew what she was doing. She knew that Max didn't love her but Liz. She knew that he was unhappy and she had to force him with her dirty tricks because he didn't want to leave his real home*. she saw Liz inside him. she not only saw his love for her from the outside, from the way he looked and the way he talked about Liz. She also saw it inside him. what she wanted more? what she wanted?
next time tell the antarians to give you the power to make people love you! (it would be pathetic but seeing how weird her conception of "love" is it wouldn't surprise me that maybe she would have loved this kind of pathetic power, if that was possible)

* home: In this show i think that one of the messages was that your real home isn't a place. In Max's (and the other aliens but Tess) case it wasn't earth or antar. Home is the people that you love and who loves you and accept you no matter who you're and, in roswell'case, what you're.

Isabel seemed hostile toward Liz (and Maria) at the beginning but she was just protective and jealous

by the time i love that she understood that Liz was Max's soulmate and she even saw her (and Maria) as friends

), hated M&T. She was more friends with two humans girls than the one who was supposed to be a part of her family and someone like her. Again, another clue about how natural feelings always prevails. you just can't force love (in all its variants)

Oh, definitely. No doubt there. But Liz managed to break the ice. I think Liz handled herself superbly. When Isabel was catty to her, with the spill on her blouse and all, Liz responded gently and immediately told her that she's not trying to take Max away. Sweet.

Agreed. They clicked unlike with Tess. The funny thing is that Isabel and Tess started out as friends first when the latter came into town but it seemed so weird.

Wow, thanks for the link. To me it seemed like their was nothing subtle about that article but I suppose its because the writer followed up her comment with the explicit mention of Jason Behr as that "bad breakup". Ouch. I'm more than a little surprise to see it in print.
