If only all that would have happened earlier .. maybe the show was not going to be canceled.

It was a very good episode. That really was the moment when Liz realized she does not want to be without Max. Him dying would have been disastrous to her life.

I think it was always on it's last leg once it showed even after the save of Season 1, that the audience was not there. Of course today, those ratings would be celebrated and probably keep the show for seven or more seasons, but it was just such a off market show for the WB, even with Buffy. Roswell was somewhat different. It was before it's time.

We were lucky it got three seasons. Today, it would be cut off after maybe 13 episodes, or allowed to finish off a season because networks need content. So, we got fortunate we were able to get it to some sort of happy ending...

I do not think if Chant Down Babylon had come earlier, or the "Changes" arc, it would have had the same impact because everything that they had been through, for good and for bad had led to that moment. And made it powerful that Max would sacrifice himself. Truly be Romeo and Juliet,

And fortunately in our tale, our Juliet was still around and strong enough to bring him back. And they were both stronger for it.

We were lucky to get a third season but I feel like they wasted it.

Yeah there is no doubt that the show was a bit of a mess, but we love our mess

That is right. And why we are here more than two decades and almost 19 years since the finale aired, and we can debate it's finest parts, and it's numerous flaws...

But it was all because of Max and Liz, and a great cast.

But Jason and Shiri sold their characters so well...

They are our beautiful mess.

Do you guys think the show would have been more popular nowadays?

Hard to say. It had supernatural, and the romance. And you have social media today which could have sold the show, and gotten people more invested. Of course it would be a double edge sword because it might mean they could have played with numerous couplings, and not been content with the two duo's.

It has it's supernatural element, and the romance. It probably could have lived on for more than 3 seasons.

It was definitely before it's time.

it had all the elements to succeed but you never know. I would have liked to experience the dreamer fever on tumblr though.

I think that with the premise it had, and the with it's first season, it would have definitely been a hit. Of course some part would have had to been adapted to fit the world now, 20 years later, but I think that it would have been a success.
