Yeah, it's a real challenge sometimes. It's interesting work, and i love the kids, but the teacher i work under is so patronizing and so passive aggressive that i don't think i can do it much longer. I'm looking into another position at the school, but it will depend on who is teaching the class.

RM - It sounds like you're having a tough time with the teacher you're working for. It's pure misery when you have that kind of relationship with the person you're working so closely with. Hope you get to make the move you're looking into so you can find the enjoyment again.

LTL - I would have the poor woman so confused she wouldn't want to learn English anymore. Glad she's making progress from your teaching.

Thanks for the b-day wishes! We celebrated a couple of ways, we went to dinner on Friday night in Columbia at a gastro-pub (that's what they called it) named Victoria's and then on Saturday afternoon fifteen of us went to Cantler's in Annapolis for crabs. So in reality, we ate on my birthday!!! My sister is visiting me now, and my neice is living with us temporarily until she finds a teaching job and gets her own apartment. So it's really fun spending time with my sister (except I have to work, dangit!).

LTL - I was sick last week, I worked on Monday and then got sick with a horrible summer cold. I actually called in sick to work three days! And I don't think I've ever done that before. I'm still coughing though, but I'm feeling much better now. Thank you for asking! I can't imagine trying to learn all the intricacies of the English language and I applaud you for working with ESOL.

Momma - missed you too! What are you up to these days? Are you working or in retirement? How's the baby doing?

Jero - I love fresh fish too. My hubby caught some trigger fish on a headboat when we were in Assateague and we ate them about three hours after he caught them. We froze some too and took some to my father and uncle who also love fish. So delish!

Scottie - I'm retired for now, but I think I'm going to have to find something to make a little extra money. I'm hoping that once Santana gets the jewelry really going that a little money will be coming in. I get enough in retirement to pay the bills, but there isn't much left to do anything else. And that isn't cutting it.

I wonder how Mar is enjoying her trip? Anyone heard from her?

Hey, Caps!

I was thinking The Time Traveler's Wife would be a perfect Caps get-together flick, but I can't figure out a weekend in August when I could do it. Maybe the 22nd or 23rd? Mar could tell us all about her travels. Does Potomac Mills have a movie theater? If someone wanted to, they could look for a new winter coat as well as get together with Rosbuds.

Yesterday one VP told me that one of our new contracts, that I would normally work on, is moving to our NC office, which would make employment for me kind of iffy after December. I had to tell the woman I supervise, which was hard, because she's the major support of her family. Then today, another VP says, "No, no. We can use you both on these other projects." So I think I'm still employed. The two of us are sprucing up our resumes anyway.

Scottie: Fish right from the water are the best, aren't they? I've never heard of a trigger fish. I'll have to look that up.

RosMouse: I hope you end up working for someone you like. A bad supervisor can make the best job unbearable.
