Which is why I do think Max was realizing he screwed up royally. He had woken up to was being lost. They both made mistakes. Neither looked good in end, and they were believing they were losing each other with Max leaving. It was so bittersweet. They loved each other...

So Romeo and Juliet. Luckily they beat back death, and had a new chance.

Shiri and Jason were magic together.

They really did magic together, you could feel how broken they were in that scene but my only complaint was they cut the flashbacks!

I remember how I loved that they dealt with Max's break down. It was such a real reaction to what people would feel in that situation. Even how Michael and Isabel acted when they heard the baby news.

It was like by confessing his mistakes he was given a clean slate and a new chance at life.

I love how vurnable Max and Liz were to one another. Bravo to Jason and Shiri for letting their guards down and going there!

I think some of their best acting was when they were super vulnerable - they were really talented in those roles.

New title?

Max and Liz were magic. You could really see Max's overwhelming emotion to the fact his life was such a mess. He was acting a jerk to both Liz and Isabel. Isabel didn't deserve it. Liz had her own obsession going at the time too, so she was equally abrasive with him. But he totally broke down in the wake of the baby news. So Isabel saw her, and she couldn't help but help her brother.

Max /Isabel did get a better solution than Max/Liz in that regard

I think it was because Max and Liz were so in love with each other. They were young, and angst makes it hard for a relationship. They didn't want to talk about the bad moments. Didn't want to face the past. And just wanted to run back to each other. But unlike some of the early hiccups. Too much of their actions had consequences, and they couldn't just move on and not address it but for the longest of times, they tried until it came too much.

Isabel may have hated Max for his behaviour. But family and their screw ups are easier to deal with, or move past. And especially since Isabel could see how bad it was... And how odd it was...
