Dinin Do'Urden (Lovely, wasn't he?) Wolverine (X-men) Rogue Cyclops Storm Kitty Pryde Wulfgar from the Drizzt books Quite a list, I'm sure there's more still... __________________

I'll try not to name too many, but it's going to be difficult I'm sure...
I can't think of many favorite SciFi/fantasy literature characters off the top of my head, but a few come to mind: Skeeve and Ahz (not to be confused with Oz): from the Myth series by Robert Asprin. I loved the buddy dynamic they had going and the way they always got into trouble. Binabik the troll: from The Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams. "Simon, you are never knowing that it is a rock until it is hitting you on the head." Hee. I loved Binabik. Golem: from the Xanth series by Piers Anthony. He usually ended up doing the noble thing, but he hardly ever did it the noble way. Heh. Television series: Buffy and Spike: from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As others have mentioned, I loved the story arc and complexity of both characters. Odo, Quark and Garak: from Star Trek, DS9. I loved Odo and Quark for the obvious reasons, but my ultimate favorite was Garak. He was such a complex character. Morally bad, yet often doing the "right thing" (albeit usually in a not-so-noble manner) due to his loyalty to a country that had him exiled. He was loyal to his friends, yet few really knew the real him due to his adeptness at lying. I also enjoyed his dry wit. I could go on and on about what I liked about Garak. Catherine, Vincent, Mouse, Father, and Elliot Burch :from Beauty and the Beast. I loved so many characters from this show. I loved the romance with dark undertones between Catherine and Vincent. I liked Father's wisdom. Mouse made me smile. And Elliot Burch was delightfully tragic as the man who had an Ozymandius empire of sand. Timmy, the living doll: from Passions. Another complex character who at first seemed deceptively simple. He was torn between the two women he loved in his life, one his evil mother figure and the other the good woman he loved. Since the women were mortal enemies, Timmy couldn't help one without hurting/defying the other. He also had a fun knack of getting into trouble and a trade mark adorable scream. His trueness of heart was his utlimate undoing, but he went out a hero saving the woman he loved. Rogue and Gambit: from X-men (the cartoon). Despite being a grown woman, I would make sure to get up on time Saturday mornings just so I could watch these two charcters. Rogue especially was complex and somehwat tragic, but she loved Gambit and he loved her. Jack, Sam, Daniel, and Teal'c: from Stargate SG-1. These characters make the show so much fun. Sam Beckett and Al Calvici: from Quantum Leap. Two of the best buddies on television. Joxer: from Xena, Warrior Princess. I loved the lovable nerd. The just makes it award to Diana: from V just because she made such an impression on me. What an evil alien bitca. Movies: All the main crew from Star Wars: A great bunch of characters all around. Frodo, Sam, Eowyn and Legolas: from the Lord or the Rings Trilogy. I liked the friendship of Frodo and Sam. Eowyn was tragic, but still heroic in her own way. Legolas was just cool. Sarah Conner: from Terminator 1 and 2. Love me some Linda Hamilton anyway, but Sarah was a great character who evolved and loved her son. Ripley: from the Aliens saga. I'm sure there are more, but I've already given too many. |

So what's new sportsfan? For some, yes, they consider C3PO and R2D2 a ship....yes, and in that manner. __________________

Thanks xextremex. I see you also like Rogue/Gambit. I know quite a few other Spuffies who also like them. I wonder if the two couples strike a similar chord in people?
And I forgot about Callisto - she was a great, albeit a bit unstable, villianess. Quote:
