I so want Moonlight on DVD.

Underworld, the extended, unrated cut, which is what I have is so much better than the crap that TBS passes off as a real movie.

Steph, it's worth you not being lazy.
Ok but I can't promise a date or anything. I'll get to the rental store when I get to it.

Well I don't know that it's unrated, but I guess it's the director's cut with extended scenes.

Like there is a scene where Michael explains what happened to his wife.

In the regular cut we see Selene in his apartment viewing a picture of his wife, but there is no mention of her, so the extended explains it.

The theatrical cut is better than the extended cut. The extended cut has stuff that's quite unnecessary and lessens the feel slightly.

Plus the copy I have has a graphic novel of the movie as well. It's quite a cool collection.

This is the version I have.

Graphic Novel, you say? Hrm.

Sum, is it more Kate, though? If its more Kate, it might be worth it.

Last week, the Underworld Prequel hit comic newstands. Story looks intriguing.

Thanks for the link

Awww I love the Count! Vampire muppets for the win!

Got to say though, I am upset Barnabas Collins was not on that list. For shame

So..... tomorrow morning I am seeing Twilight. Shall I post my review afterwards?

I saw it. It was funny. And he's right about Edward being a stalker. Also spot on about the stories being about wish fulfillment and/or a guilty pleasure.

And about Edwards being perfect for women? *whistles innocently*

Well I wouldn't call him perfect. Vamps got issues. He hates himself, thinks himself a monster and believes he has no soul. Plus he is lonely. While his family has found soul mates to spend eternity with, he's never been attracted to anyone (till Bella). He basically feels he has no reason to live but won't kill himself because he's afraid of the unknown afterlife he might enter into.

He is the metaphor for the "bad unattainable boy" that the girl(Bella) is special enough to make him want to be good. He "loves" her so much he resists every urge to suck her blood dry.

Also he always wants to abstain from sex and just cuddle(he's afraid to lose control and kill her). That is what is appealing to teenage girls. They live the story through Bella's head and feel it first hand and here is a boy who doesn't pressure his girlfriend into having sex.

That's the appeal and why so many girls see him as "perfect". The look over the other sides of him. They see his stalking her as "protecting" her.

I won't even get into Bella's issues.

Anyway, I have lots of thoughts about the movie that I have to type up tonight Basically I enjoyed the film. But I reeeeeeaaaaallllllly think you HAVE to have read the book before because so much was taken out that you'd be lost on many things. Also their relationship felt rushed. Which while it happens fast in the book too is still more drawn out and explained through Bella's thoughts.

Anyway, more later.
