I'm a girl but my fangirl moments are more about the romantic couples when it's geeky like this me and my friends call it fanboy moment Weird, I know.

But yeah, the little ships were also pretty cool... I can't wait until we see more from inside the ships and stuff.

The original V was a minisseries, right? Or am I totally making that up?

I looked it up and... the original "V" was a movie that was filmed in 1983, released on tv in the summer of 1984 and became a series that lasted only 19 episodes, ending in 1985.

So... it definately was not a mini-series.

Daritah: Oops, sorry about that. LOL usually I seperate the two but the way you and your friends call it in the sorts is quite funny and makes sense because it's usually the guys who are normally supposed to be the ones all into that high tech stuff.

That's one of the reasons I love beeing a sci-fi geek. I can get into the non-relationship stuff and into the action just as well as any guy can

TrekGoddess: I totally love those rules. OV for the original and NV for the newer ones. And I agree. No spoilers. If we want spoilers we can always go open a spoiler thread at the Spoiler Board.

You are so right on Ron! Thanks! I so agree too about the spoilers. Otherwise, what is it there for? lol

I love my inner-girl-geek. I speak geek very well (and yes... that includes some Klingon). lol

That reminds me of an event in my life many moons ago. A bunch of guys (literally) and I went and saw the X-Men movie when it first came out. I was the token female. One girl to 5 guys. As we sat watching the movie I busted a gut when Cyclops retorted about the yellow spandex. All 5 of them turned to me. I said, "WHAT?! You never read the comics?". Then one of them blurted out, "I want to marry you!". lol

So... in an effort to stay on topic. Will this new series go more than 19 episodes? Hrmmm...

Ha ha I speak geek very well too. While I don't speak Klingon I do write in Aurebesh.

Oh man that is hilarious Trek

I really hope this series goes more than 19 episodes. It would be wrong not to given how strong it started out. And with Scott Peters on board, I really have faith for NV. Scott Peter did a wonderous job on The 4400 so I have high hopes for NV.

Hrmm... I wonder. Which lasted longer, the orginal "V" series or E:FC? I see a trip to imdb in the near future. lol
For V- First there was V: The Original Miniseries with was 2 episodes, then there was V: The with was 3 episodes, than there was V: The Classic TV series and that was 19 episodes, and if you add that all together you still do not add up 100 episodes with is what Earth: Final Conflict had. So to answer your question E:EFC has way more episodes than V

Though on the pus side you can buy all of V I am still waiting for season 2 of E:EFC to come out on DVD

Also I really love the title that you have and I wonder how I missed hearing it before now and I agree I was not the biggest fan of Renee Palmer.

Thanks for bringing it over Jerry! I will take a peak at it and see if we should leave it as a link from here or perhaps if it's suitable to somehow incorporate the two into one. Is that possible? Off to take a peek now!

Aah... so I was slightly mistaken. It wasn't a mini-series. It was just a two part made for tv movie. And yes... E:FC lasted waaay longer than o"V".

Yeah, the character of Renee Palmer (IMO) doomed the show. I forget what happened. Were the ratings faltering and the writers decided to "sex" it up with that character? Does anyone recall?

Speaking of ratings... where might I find the ratings for the old "V" and the new "V"? I'd like to compare the two and see if the new is doing better than the old. This might determine if the new will last longer than the 19 episodes that the old one had.

No it is a mini series that is what they call it so that is what it is. Well if I knew the answer to that question than I would know why they decided to destroy all the character development they gave Zo'or in season 3 in season 4

Okies... I can hang with that. The only reason I think that they may have called it a mini-series is because back then in the 80's if you attached the words mini-series to anything they thought that they were going to get BIG ratings like "Roots" did. lol Silly 80's.

Now was Zo'or the child of Da'an or the parent of Da'an? It's been sooo long that I can't recall.
