  ] But yeah. Anywho, haven't seen any threads of the Twilight Zone [or maybe I missed it. Whoever's moderating this page, just let me know]. If you love the eerie B&W days of The Twilight Zone, have any favorite episodes...whatever [as long as it is the Zone heh]...knock yourself out.Here are some of my favorites:  Living Doll  Five Characters In Search Of An Exit  A Stop At Willoughby  One For The Angels  The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street  Time Enough At Last -pics courtesy of www.twilightzone.org There is that one episode in which this newlywed couple wind in a diner and there's little cute fortune telling machine with the head of the devil on it that can tell them their future. Anyone know this ep? |

Apparently not Angel....I find that somewhat disturbing.
After all it's only be done 3 times. Hundres of epsiodes, tons of time, great stories and all.__________________

I'm still shocked that she doesn't like the mannequin episode....or the pig faced people episode. but that's just me.

Ooh! Really?? I loved both of those episdoes... as most, they had a mysterious quality to it.
Some of my favs: Nick of Time While on his honeymoon, a man begins to be controlled by the answer cards given by a fortune telling machine. Nothing in the Dark An old woman hides in her condemned apartment fearing a visit from Death. Number 12 Looks Just Like You In a society of the future, a young woman chooses not to undergo a medical procedure which everyone has at the age of nineteen to make themselves beautiful and immune to disease. Stopover in a Quiet Town A married couple wake up alone in a deserted strange town after leaving a party the night before. The Hitch-Hiker A mysterious hitch-hiker keeps appearing on the road as a woman drives across the country. I have many more but those are just some that stood out. |

Oh, number 12 is great. I loved that one.
The Mannequin episode is my favourite though, it's the freak factor of them. I've always been semi-freaked by mannequins. Speaking of Yamiko....she started this discussion....where's she at. *trots off to bring her over here* __________________

Number 12 was great. Very freaky. and yeah, the mannequin episode was good too. Never saw it coming that she was one!
 Bring Kris over... More the merrier! I don't think there's ever a dull moment in The Twilight Zone! Some interesting facts: Rod Serling thought he had come up with the term "Twilight Zone" on his own (he liked the sound of it), but after the show aired he found out that it is an actual term used by Air Force pilots when crossing the day / night sides above the world. He wanted Richard Egan to do the narration for "The Twilight Zone" because of his rich, deep voice. However, due to strict studio contracts of the time, Egan was unable to. Serling said "It's Richard Egan or no one. It's Richard Egan, or I'll do the thing myself" which is exactly what happened. |

 Ah, this brings back memories. So much that this was a time Jerry still did not know my name. He did kind of brought up that point that nobody really watches this show though.I still watch it when I have the time. Oh and Jerry, the pig face episode was bizzare. I think the last episode I watched was "Room for one" where this woman gets all these freakish dreams of being in a morgue and all that. Nice twist in the ending. I think TZ still airs on SciFi channel late at night, midnight my time. I always see it as I"m flipping through stations, trying to find something to go to sleep to. __________________

Well, I actually had a name change two years ago to my current one. Looking at the first post, I actually feel quite embarrassed at what I wrote. I wonder if it isn't too late to fix it. You're right, they still do air it on Sci-Fi but I don't seem to be up late enough to catch it. |
