Eric was way overrated. Bill was a terrific character, played with great intensity by Stephen Moyer.

His intensity was there all the time. It's an important part of Moyer's performance.

No, I couldn't be bothered with the books, I was told there was a lot of changes so I just stuck with the show, because I loved it as it was.

yeah, way too different. I only read one of them. I did like it but it was like a different entity

It was different for me as I read the books first, so I had to get used to the changes...
