I get why John acted the way he did, I was a teen not too long ago, but I don't think it excuses it and it still annoys me. But like I said, he went through a lot in the last episode so I'll forgive him this one. (If I ever talked to my mom that way...let's just say my face would be on the back of my head, savior or no savior) I think if John wants to be seen as a man then he should act like one. I don't hate him, I was just annoyed with him. Especially when he said "I don't have to prove anything to anyone...ANYONE." I liked how Cameron gave him the look, or at least to me, of That's what you think.

My main issue though is that he gave a girl he just met their phone code. A girl who made him a toy robot. ROBOT!!! Now I'm not saying that she's a machine, but he doesn't know that. Remember how he thought Cameron was all normal when he first met her?

Did anyone else get the feeling that Cameron was talking about the future people when she said that people would be upset? Like he makes a decision in the future that maybe cuts down the belief that the people in the future have of him. Which is always what I thought of Derek as.

Sarah doesn't have cancer yet. According to the movie Sarah died of cancer in 1997. But I guess the third movie is being ignored since it started in 1999. But if you go by the fact that Cameron said that she would die in 2005, that means she might still have a good five-six years to go. I don't think they'd kill the character off with cancer...or at all. The show being called Sarah Connor Chronicles and all.

First of all I agree about Riley, either her parents don't care or she's just a rebellious teenager who does whatever she wants. On one hand part of me is thinking that John shouldn't have given her the phone number but on the other hand he did take precautions telling her what she's suppose to say right after he answers. Cameron is magnificent; she’s fast becoming one of my favorite characters after Derek. I think something might be wrong with her chip because she had to think about what to do, then again she’ s a terminator designed or programmed to mimic human behavior. Summer Glau as Cameron is outstanding.

I agree that John treated his mother badly and he was an ass, but what teenager isn’t. At some point every teenager is a jerk to somebody especially with raging hormones ready to explode. When I was a teenager I used to think that everybody was out to get me, and I would angered quickly and often for stupid things. Now I’m older and I don’t get angry so much, now my brother who was and still is sometimes a sweetheart is barely thirteen and I notice he gets angry a lot for stupid things and thinks that everybody is out to get him. So I guess from a former teenager to a teenager I do understand why he was a jerk to his mom. Though part of me thinks that Sarah understands where her son is coming from. She knows he has a lot on his shoulders and is lacking on a social life, and all she wants is to protect her son and for him to have a normal life even if she knows that ain’t going to happen.

I think John is just pissed off at the world, at the future, the terminators, this life his living, his family for constantly reminding him of who his meant to be YEARS from now. Like I said before he's got this huge weight on his shoulders, and has being told his whole life who and what he's going to be and what he means to the human race. Everybody expects him to live up to this leader who, he himself is not yet. It's the typical loner hero who wishes more than anything to have a normal life. He knows who he will be and is meant to be but he doesn’t understand it yet, because he himself is not there yet. And no matter how much abnormal his life is he’s still a human being, a human teenage boy who is being push into this life he didn't even ask for.

Hey Everyone! New here loving the show. I watched last season but never posted.

You know what I found funny. Riley's parents were strict enough or involved enough in her life to send her to catholic school. However the girl is able to stay out all night with a boy and think nothing of the fact that her parents wouldn't ground her for like the next century.

Also after re watching John's birthday scene with Derek I'm totally convinced John killed Sark... That scene, the song, his change in attitude, the discussions with his mom. It all fits.

Greenwood seemed a bit small to be a terminator. Wonder if it was the same model as Cameron.

Also makes me wonder if they're building this up to make Cameron the big bad in Season 3.

John hooking up with Riley so quickly didn't seem right. But you're right the sleep over was inconsistent with her supposed back history. When she made that lego robot and freaked John out I was "woah!". It seemed these were too obvious so were probably a fake out. Especially when Cameron met her and didn't detect her as a cyborg. Or at least Cam didn't say she was.

I think you're right. It would explain John's attitude change.

Another thing that might be effecting John's attitude is always being reminded of his future role. People that are trying to fill their parent's or older sibling's shoes also feel that pressure. There is always a fear of failure hanging over their head. I think John is feeling the fear that he won't be the leader that everyone expects him to be.

Your right Greenwood was a little smaller than most, I remember when cormatie was trying to rebuild himself he had to find an identity that fit his size and weight. Do we know yet what model Cameron is? I can't remember. How sweet would a fight be between Cameron and a terminator of the same model?

While I'm all for ignoring the third movie

, they can only do that so much. The cancer story is hard to justify changing, unless they can trace it to an event that can be avoided.

But she was supposed to have her memory wiped before being sent back in time, right? So would that even be possible?

I know it seems inconsistent because she remembers some things, but i'm sure that Cameron mentioned it at some point

No, I think she had her memory wiped when she was being converted into a "good" terminator. I seem to remember her saying that wiping the memory help the conversion succeed or something.

They've never said what model of Terminator Cameron is. It's a mystery that fans around the world are clamoring for.

As for memory wiping, remember, she served time as a good terminator in the future as well. Ultimate, the goal is for that future to not exist...which bring an interesting Paradox. If you succeed, the future that sends cameron ceases, in fact, cameron will never be made. True time theory says that she'll disappear, and no one will ever remember she was there. Isn't that semi-sad.
