I loved the show, I didn't want to watch it at first since it looked so bad but I ended up liking it. I don't know why it only lasted eight episodes. Plus it had Xena and Skinner on the same show.

I totally love Lucy Lawless in it too. I kinda wonder if Kate really was as good as she seemed or secretly using John for her own agenda.

Yeah I totally got that vibe too. Something just seemed off about her. I think if the show had lasted it would have come out that she wasn't as selfless as they were making her out to be, And Lucy can definitely play a bad girl well.

I think it would have been a huge twist if Kate had been the bad sibling all along and Richard the good one only trying to help his nephew. I somewhat wonder if that's the direction they were heading into.

I also wonder if they would have thrown in some random guy to get in between John and Jane so they'd keep them apart or something.

Yeah. the way it was written seemed very non arc'd for long term storytelling actually. If you go back and look, the eight episodes that aired were very compacted together. It worked out well because it got canceled but I have to wonder what would have happened had it not been

Yes that's true, there were a whole lot of storytelling jammed into those episodes. I kinda want to find out what happened once they went back to NYC though.

Wish it could have been a full season long, but alas we'll never know.

Didn't they originally order 13 episodes but cut production at eight? I seem to remember something about that on a Save Tarzan site.

They ordered them but never made them, I was wondering what would have happened if it hadn't got cancelled as well, it's kind of odd to have the story pretty much wrapped at episode eight but I suppose they wouldn't have made it so finaleish if there were more episodes after it.

Yeah I remember that too. They shut the production down without leaving them any time to wrap things up. Thankfully the episode itself was written in a way that it was the November cliffie anyway so it worked.
