I agree with what others have said. Episode 19 was a great ending. It was funny to see Lucifer again, like the actor. (side note: Adam/Michael, what a neglected character. They could've made Adam/Michael long time ago and bring back real Adam for the end.) Jack is the new god and the guys go on to enjoy life. Chuck can grow old and die. They drive away. Perfect scene to end it on.

We don't need to see both of them die for them to talk about heaven. Watching Chuck sick and die would be more enjoyable (hmm i wonder if he'd go to heaven in the end...). In fact, no need to talk about heaven if they can't bring more characters back for the ending. Great to see Bobby but that's all we got... no Castiel. Hearing about the "heaven renovation" through Bobby isn't the same as seeing beloved characters Jack and Castiel doing it.

It wasn't the worse series finale i've seen but sure wasn't the best ending.

I have mixed feelings about the finale. I feel like had COVID not interfered and they were able to actually bring back John, Mary, Ellen, Jo and so forth it might have hit different for a lot of people. I would have loved to have seen Dean walk into the roadhouse after the talk with Bobby and seen all the people he loved there. I like that the end focused on the two brothers how it began but I’m also not a big fan of more definitive endings. I abhor epilogues in books. The Hunger Games and Harry Potter epilogues were crap. I think endings are better left slightly open and left where you can speculate a bit. That’s me though. I also recognize with a show that ran 15 years a lot of people would want more definitive, tightly wrapped ending. The thing is that with 15 years not everyone is going to be pleased. That’s what happened. I think they got a lot right with the ending but also a lot that could have been better. So I’d say it’s a decent finale for me. It’s no where near bottom of barrel finale.
