Stargate New Episode Discussion Thread: *Spoiler Warning*

Welcome to the new episode discussion thread for SG1 and Atlantis! So to clarify, this is where we can talk about the yummy episodes that have aired somewhere in the world, that you've probably downloaded and seen already.

Reckoning was totally one of the greatest episodes of the season. I never even knew we were going to see RepliCarter in it... and Yu's dead! He was the one Goa'uld who actually helped out every now and again. I guess it was like a build up to season 9, it almost felt like a finale. The Goa'uld aren't the worst things in the universe anymore... and I loved seeing Ba'al asking Jack for help. I really think O'Neill made the right decision about not trusting... even if he may still have issues from Abyss. Best scene was probably the Danny/RepliCarter one, oh, and when Sam got beamed into Jack's office 'dammit'

The Seige part 1? Nifty episode, but why did they have to kill the geeky English scientist? He was cute. Anyway, I started liking Teyla a whole lot more after this episode, nice to see them doing a little more character building. Shep was great as always ( ) the man deserves a promotion. I hope they don't make too many changes in season 2. I really don't want to see Weir on a team or anything, I've just gotten used to her leading the Atlantis expedition. I think she made some good calls, and I don't agree with what Dr. ponytail said about her in Letters from Pegasus.

They should rename this board the Stargate board We're taking over the place

But great idea for a thread! I loved Reckoning! It had so many of the past storylines in it, all combined into an exciting story. But I felt a little sad they killed of Yu, he was the one Goa'uld I could stand I guess RepliCarter also killed off his First Prime, which is too bad, because I could definitely see him team up with Teal'c sometime. O'Neill's "Impudence? No tuna." comment was so funny

The Siege....loved it, but why did they have to kill off Grodin? McKay was so funny, he screams like a girl Dr. Ponytail is getting on my nerves so badly now, he bitches and moans so much that you just wanna slap him and tell him to get a grip Though with the Wraith coming, it's probably difficult to get a grip Weir is actually, and I never thought I'd say this, ok. Hopefully it'll continue like that, because as Sugi said, I don't wanna see her on a team either.

Oh and Bates finally got bitchslapped, so The guy had it coming. On a superficial note, I want them to bring Markham back He was hot

Now Suz...don't make me go all sci fi on you

So here's the question...is Baal truly betraying anubis...or is this a plot to get jack/tok'ra there as well so anubis can get complete revenge?

Good question... I'd like to think Ba'al was doing it for his own personal gain, but then, I never expected Ba'al to start working for Nooby, so I guess things changed. The Goa'uld have to work together to kick Replicator butt, and Ba'al's smart enough to know they need the SGC's help. I really have no idea what Anubis is playing at, he doesn't seem concerned about the Replicators. Hmm, maybe by the end of the season, we'll see the Goa'uld admit they're not Gods. Or at least, the Jaffa will know the truth. Can't wait to see the next episode... SG always throws together great two parters.

Grodin! That's his name, thank you Suz.

You didn't tell me you started this thread already.

Shamefully, I am still behind on SG1. I'm catching up though. I just saw It's Good To Be King. I'm getting there.

Now, the Siege. Sigh. I did not see Grodin's death coming! That was a complete shock to me and honestly I got teary-eyed. I loved him although I wasn't sure whether or not the actor had a really horrible British accent or that was his real voice. I couldnt tell. But I loved how Grodin selflessly stayed behind and activated the outpost. Now onto Teyla. I didn't think it was possible but she just got more irritating as the episode went on. I kept rolling my eyes at her and was really hoping that Bates would deck her one back. I love Bates. He's all the military man that Shep isn't. Now, I still love Shep but he leads with his heart and that's a dangerous thing. He keeps making decisions based on personal feelings. And Dr. Kavanaugh is funny. He may be a pain in the ass but what scientist isn't.

Okay, that sort of explains it. But did he have a British flag on this uniform?

What?! Are you sure Suz? You mean the actor or the character? Ba'al's South African too.

You're right Marina, at least he died well. Defending Atlantis and all.

I'm watching "The Siege part 2" right now.

Dear God, that marine guy, Colonel Matthew Everett, has such an annoying voice!! It literally makes me cringe. The way he talks and the sound of his voice, it's like he's on crack or something, sheesh....

How could they end it like that!?? I mean, it's not like Shep (or Teyla or Ford) are actually going to die, but really, that was one hell of a cliff. I loved the effects, seeing them defend the city... anyone know how many ZPMs were needed to power up the shield? I wonder why they didn't try fixing those instead. Rodney and Zelenka were the real heroes again, gotta love scientists who save the day.

ITA Suz, the man had such a weird voice when he first came through the gate, I half expected someone to ask him about it. It got better later in the show at least... and I hope he doesn't die. Someone's got to be the military guy around there, the episode needed it, especially since Bates wasn't around. I was a little disappointed in Shep for not following orders and being on Weir's cheerleading squad. They've established that he's not good at following orders, but O'Neill specifically put Everett in charge, you'd think that would count for something. But it's Shep, and he's pretty, so he can get away with anything and we'll still love him.

Okay, now for the important question... who was the hottie Teyla was stick fighting with, and can we have him back please? For a moment I thought it was Ben Browder.

I'm gonna love seeing the friction between Everett and Shep. Shep needs some character development beyond being a pretty boy. Not that I have a problem with that But he has more in him than just a pretty face and the ability to shoot

I found O'Neill putting a guy like Everett in charge a bit unbelievable.

I thought the same thing! For a moment, I was like "huh? I thought Ben Browder was joining SG-1?"

I loved this episode. Great action and everybody was there and doing something.

Sheppard was looking hot like always. Even liked that he wanted to help Weir.

That Everett guy really did have a weird voice, just so unmilitary. But I like him.

Can't wait to see what is going to happen next... I just hate cfliffhangers.
