I'm extremly unhappy about the casting news we're getting from gateworld. Why do people insist on messing with a good thing?

Some of this hasn't been set in stone yet. The official statement comes out on Monday, but it has been said for sure that

Amanda Tapping will only be back as a guest star in a few episodes since her new series Sanctuary got picked up for 13 episodes by the Scifi channel. The news about Torri coming back isn't looking good, as of last weekend when she talked at the con she said she still hadn't been asked back for any episodes yet, even though Joe Mallozi has said that the storyline will be revisited onscreen. Add to that the fact that Joe said on his blog that they're adding a NEW commander, which doesn't bode well for Atlantis's ability to keep a commander, and they're premiering a new female character who may possibly become a regular. I just hate that they've pretty much lost AT and EH. The only bright spot is that it looks like Carson may be back.

So I finally saw Sateda. I think Ronan must have a thing for female doctors...

It was interesting to finally meet Robin & see some of John's family. Who knew he came from such money?

I finally saw Harmony. While some parts were fun there were too many cliches and I'm always less than pleased when so many of the regular cast are missing.

As for Outcast, it also suffered from a lack of regular cast members but it was more interesting, IMO.

I liked Outcast better than Harmony also. I think Trio is going to be pretty good.

everytime we see teal'c, he grows more and more hair! i think he's making up for his first 7 seasons of baldness now, lol.

I do like Robert Picardo though.

Hasn't he already been given several chances to grow? I can think of at least one instance on each Stargate series. Honestly, I don't find the change all that surprising. The organization overseeing the program is civilian and I'm sure they'd prefer a civilian in charge.

Next week's TV Guide magazine has a picture of Ronon and Teal'c and a little write up. If I ever see it posted on tvguide.com I'll bring over the link.

Woolsey should be interesting. Hes not the most likeable character and should create some conflict with both Sheppard and Mckay which is good.

The IOA will be happy thinking that they have their puppet in place as head of Atlantis but although he likes to do things by the book Woolsey is a good man and won't be the push-over they are hoping for.

who knows, maybe he'll end up being the most badass character, like when Wesley went from Buffy to Angel.

although I can't see Woolsey getting all dark and toting a shotgun...

i just hope they write sam off better than they did with ford, weir, and Beckett!
