Thanks for the new thread!
I am a rabid shipper for a few, and I loved the John/Teyla scenes. His concern for her, feeling her tummy, and his worry that she would have the baby right there were so funny. I'm beginning to like Ronon/Keller, if only for the reason that we get to see a different side of them. McKay and Katie bore me to death. I got the feeling at the end of the episode that they weren't going to be together for much longer and that makes me happy simply because I don't want them taking up screen time. Mckay has better scenes with pretty much everyone. __________________

My DH (who is usually not a shipper) really liked the episode. I liked it too. Teyla sure made me nervous.

I am not a shipper by nature and the few times I do ship a couple it will be for a pair on a more traditional drama - not a procedural or SciFi show. That being said, I actually felt a little sorry for Rodney at the end. I agree that by the time Katie found the ring, she had realized Rodney was not for her in the long term. As for the little interlude between Ronon and Keller, I hope they realize it was just a product of the circumstances and they return to their former relationship - doctor/patient.
I liked the rest of the episode, especially them not knowing how much time they had before the self-destruct would go off. That put a little more urgency into the situation and we didn't have to witness the cliche of them succeeding with only 2 seconds remaining. |

I'm on the fence re: Keller/Ronan. It almost feels like they're trying to endear her more to the fans with this romance. I still miss Carson.
I think Katie may still be hoping McKay comes around... __________________

That'll be the sign that Rodney finally arrives as a character.....so we proably won't see it until season 7'ish or so.

I get that killing off a major character brings angst and a touch of reality to the show, (they're not invincible), but I still don't like it.
