Northy, ita with you .. Arianne's position as the Heir to the Dornish throne is crucial to the originall story; but it's a perfect example of the sort of detail D&D don't think is important.
They will consider, rightly I suppose, that the majority of GoT's audience will never know it should be otherwise than their edited version. Brittany, Jon's elevation to LC should've happened toward the end of last season, I think. They've changed so much .. I'm very curious to see if it happens in the series. __________________

Oberyn Martell did speak of his sister, Elia, being abandoned by Rhaegar to take up with Lyanna Stark; but iirc, that's really the only mention of them since the first season.

True - and whose fault is that? Rhaegar was at the center of everything before his death. He would've been an awesome character to depict in the series.
