I don't even think my boss knows what time I'm really supposed to show up anymore. However, since mail doesn't arrive until after 10:00 a.m. now (stupid post office), it's not an issue. I still get there in time to go through my e-mail and desk inboxes before I have any snail mail (checks & invoices) to process.

BTW - today my calves are killing me from the stairs I had to descend the other day. And there was still the lingering scent in the elevator well on Friday. Stupid elevator!

I'm kind of grumpy because my allergies are acting up again. Stupid pollen!!!

Hrm, you should move up by me....pollen isn't an issue in 29 mph wind @ 7 F.

Thankfully, so long as I get my job done, my boss doesn't care if I come in, really. I could probably work from home if I'd like, but i'm afraid I'd never get anything done.

So, who has more christmas shopping to do? I have 1 present to get.

We had a bunch of wind on Sunday but I think all it did was spread the pollen across a wider area.

This yo-yo weather is killing me. 70 one day and 30 the next. Then back up, then back down. Lather, rinse, repeat.

All my shopping is done and distributed. Going to bake some more tonight, though. Mostly cookies but I might try a pie or 2 just to mix things up. Makes the house smell yummy.

We finished our baking last night, pumpkin bread. Now we just have to wrap gifts, which is going to be fun. Plus, my aunt needs me to come over and set up her wireless router.

I completely concur. Sunday it was 7, Yesterday it was 15, Today 22, tomorrow and Thursday 33 and friday will be 58. WTF....

It's a surprise....it's coming....via messenger. You'll be home in 323 minutes, right?

By the way, what did you get me?

Today was the Capital 10,000 again (Texas's largest and the nation's 5th largest 10k race). Hard to believe it's been a year already. While I certainly didn't set any records, I did manage to run (er, jog) the whole thing and finished in about 1 hour 20 minutes. Not bad for a fat old chick.

The weather...what can I say? This past week it was hot, then rainy with hail, then windy, then cold. At least it didn't snow.

80 mins! Not bad at all. I know it'd take me a lot longer than that, and I could never jog the whole thing.

HA! Snow...I woke up Sunday to snow. It was gone by 10 am.

According to Monday's paper, there were roughly 18,000 participants in the race (4 wheelchairs, 8,000 timed runners, and the rest were untimed Fun Run/Walkers). My official time was 1:17:25, approximately 11 minutes slower than my best time back in 2002. Of course since then I have had foot surgery, gained weight, and aged 7 years so I suppose I should be satisfied.

A news report on TV said our hail storms last week were the worst we've ever had damage-wise. My house didn't get any hail but my car got pelted by little ones on the way to work Friday. Oh, and temperatures were back into the 80s today but there's another cold front coming.

Even better than the 10k, however, is the fact I've managed to keep my house clean (everything picked up and put away) for 2 whole weeks. To sum up why this is such an accomplishment, I used to have (might still have, actually), an adorable poster with a dog and a pile of knocked over blocks with the words, "When you're naturally messy, neatness is a pain."

Hey, as long as you're finishing in under 3 hours, I'm impressed. That's what it would probably take me.

Yeah, we're getting the cold front tonight as well. It was 71 yesterday, it'll be 38 tonight....bleh.

ha. That's a great poster. I need that to explain my life to my wife. We had our house cleaned for a while...but then we got busy, so it's messy again.

I'm prepping for another Trivia Night this week. I'm hoping it's a fun one.

A friend of mine walked the 10k in less than 2 hours a couple years ago. Of course, she was quite determined to get it done as quickly as possible and was doing a pretty good power walk.

There was hail at my house this morning. Very small and lasted only a few minutes, but still...

Trivia Night? I've never gone and I'm sure I would freeze up if I ever tried it. I'm much better at sitting home on my couch laughing whenever someone misses an easy question on Jeopardy!

<- Power Walking is as good as jogging.

I'm jealous of your weather. We haven't had any good thunderstorms yet. It all turns into soaking rain. We'll have another inch of rain tomorrow...but no storms.

Hehehe, it's fun. We go with friends and get a table. This will be the 3rd one this year alone. It's a great time to be had by friends. The theme this time, is Clue (the game and the movie). We've already started watching the movie again.

Hi, I don't usually come on this thread but I need a big favor. I was wondering if anyone between the ages of 15 – 18 (only from the UK) will be willing to do a quick questionnaire for me, its part of a project and completely anonymous. I'd really appreciate it, if anyone’s willing please PM me. Thanx
