Isn't it strange how we do that? We dont' like cutting grass, but we don't like dead grass. If only they could genetically engineer a grass that grows 3 inches high and stops.

Do you like comic books?

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

I believe they call that special grass Astro Turf.

Comics? Never got into them though I have nothing against them. If one was in front of me I would read it.

Hahaha....that stuff hurts though. Talk about rug burn.

Intriguing, well ok then. You posted that info on Mike Turner, thought you might have been one.

I'll bring over just about any news I think belongs on this board whether it's something that interests me or not.

Duke didn't want to go outside this morning because it was a little damp. Not even a full sprinkle, more like intermittent spitting. I eventually had to shove him out. The other dog is no problem but Duke's a big ol' baby.

I see, that's very keen of you to do.

Hehehe, he didn't want to get his paws wet....I can't blame him. I wouldn't want to either. We're in the midst of a heat wave right now...no rain for the next 6 days, and all 90's. Jealous yet?

I'm going to visit some relatives soon and was told that it's been warm in their area and cools down at night. I checked weather.com and apparently their version of warm is the mid 80s. That sounds like October to me.

That's hot to me.

Usually I don't mind the heat, but this year it's really getting to me.

My thermostat is set on 85 for daytime and 82 overnight. I've got ceiling fans to help out, too. When it's 100+ outside, you gotta do something to keep the electric bills from wiping you out. Of course, at work it's much cooler. My office often feels like a freezer to me. It's probably a temperature most other people consider comfortable.

I'd be dying if my house was on 82, though this 97 with 70% humidity is for the birds. Heat Index was 112 yesterday...glad I was inside.

I'll deal with the 80's...it should only be there today, too bad I have to spend it inside.

I'm back to the high temperatures after almost a week of 80s. My friend who was petsitting for me said we got a little rain from Hurricane Dolly but not enough to do any good.

They're talking near 100 here tomorrow. Thinking that I'll be staying inside.

In the mean time, we got nearly 2" of rain last night. 3rd wave of storms are already in bound.

We're expecting 100s for the next 7 days or so. Hopefully it will cool down a little before my nephew arrives since I figure most of our activities during his visit will be outdoors.

I saw a little about the Missouri flooding while I was out of town. Don't suppose you could bottle and send some my way? My poor yard.

Ha! I'm not sure if you want the river water here. Most of us are scared to go near it. All the fertilizer from the farm run-off makes it not so good for you.

At least it's pretty to look at. We're getting the remains of Dolly today, should be fun.

Well, I'll have the nephew all next week so I won't be posting much, if at all. The good news is, they are only forecasting a chance of showers one of those days. The bad news is, they are forecasting 100+ for most of the days. I'm going to need more and stronger sunblock.

And I just remembered another activity I was planning for his next visit so now I need to print out the information.

Woo hoo...go go nephew watching.

I'm off with the girls today, so we're going to try and do something fun. Don't know what yet.

You going to get any of that stuff from Edourd?
