Yes, I heard something in regards to how Twilight Vampires sparkle....so I felt the need to comment. Would you like to comment on my comment Sheida?

I like the way vampires are portrayed in Twilight.

The sparkle thing is what happens when they go into the Sun!

I also thought it was cool that in the Twilight series, vampires don't need to drink your blood to turn you, they have a venom that seeps into you with the slightest nip from their teeth.

If the venom is not sucked out, you turn.

It took me a while to give in and read the Twilight books, but now I'm on the second, and I can't wait for more!

I read the first one in two days!

I like the fact that the vampires are good looking

But its a great take on vampires, it's new, that's what I love about it!

These aren't vampires....these are completely different "things". Vampires do certain things. They drink blood, you must drink theirs to turn. They burn in the sun. They are immortal and they are dead, which makes them very cold to touch.

If any of these are betrayed, then they are not vampires. No Sparkles, no Venom, no Angst and no falling in love with Cattle.

Well these ones are cold too and they ahve to drink blood but they're vegetarions, and well Id heard of that kind of Vampires before Twilight, the kind that only drinks animal blood.

Cattle?

They do drink blood, but they choose not to drink human blood. They drink animal blood. They are very cold to the touch as well. They are immortal. But like any vampire. if they are decapitated, they die.

Cattle = Human. Let's face it, vampires are higher on the food chain.

Vegetarians? I thought Vampires couldn't eat...they subsist on blood only.

Its an inside joke, thats what they call the vampires who only eat animal blood.

Of course they dont eat food.

Sad.....real vampires could use animals as substance, but they tended to degenerate into animals themselves after too long, so it was only survival, and what's the use of being Immortal if you're only going to survive your Immortality. One must live it.

Really? It was said in the books that the Cullens called themselves Vegetarians.

What if Immortality was given to you when you didnt want it, would you be willing to kill others or to give them the same unwanted imoortality too? I think I might choose the animals as well.

Indeed, which is what made vampires dangerous...it wasn't any blood that they could drink, it had to be human blood.

Yeah, that gets to the whole "venom" thing. Vampires had to give of themselves to create another vampire. The master's blood had to be consumed by the dying person in order for them to be turned. It wasn't just a "bite and done".

And again, you have to think like a vampire. Once you're turned, you're a rung up on the food chain, stop caring about something that you were, you're something different now.

Yeah but that kind of limits the vampire stories to being more horror, you cant shape a love story around a character that is so in-humane so theyve been changed to fit into the romance genre as well.

Seeing as there are no actual vampires that are known of (though I like to keep an open mind

) I think nothing exactly set in stone, you can change the characteristics around a bit, though as its said in your quote, they probobly wont be 'vampires' anymore.
