Which movie or show? There's multiple Star Wars movies and multiple Star Trek movies and shows to pick from. Personally, I like the DS9 and Voyager credits music a lot. Heck, Voyager's credits sequence was the best thing about the show.

X-Files: Agent Reyes or Agent Scully?

(Personal preference: Reyes, Gish did a spectacular job and I wasn't all that impressed with Anderson's Scully.)

And I'll be disagreeing. While Gish was nice, Anderson is a red head.

Yummy.

SCULLY!

Wrath of Kahn or A New Hope.

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

A New Hope, classic Star wars beats the cheesiest Star Trek movie any day.

DS9's Sisko or Voyager's Janeway?

(Personal preference Sisko, he had much more sense of fun.)

Not.

Dark Shadows original or Dark Shadows Revival (1991 show with Ben Cross and Joanna Going)?

(Personal preference definitely the 1991 Revival show -it was a quality piece of work, while the original was a crappy old thing.)

Awright, nobody's answering, so I'll do it myself: Revival.

Onto the next one:

Babylon 5 or Star Wars?

(Personal preference Babylon 5, but Cryostar would probably pick Star Wars.)

Well i'm with Cryo. hehe B5 sucked big time. A lame copycat of the Star Trek tv shows. Running off its coat-tails much?

V the miniseries or V the tv show. (Personal preference: I liked both the miniseries and the tv show, although, you can't beat the original for its storyline and such.)

B5 blew Star Trek out of the water. It was the greatest tv sf ever. It surpassed Star Trek in more ways than can be counted. It was a work of art. As for being lame, next to B5 even the best Star Trek is lame. And no other tv "space-opera" type show comes anywhere near B5's quality. Farscape, Andromeda, Lexx, Battlestar Galactica, etc -they're nothing next to B5. B5 reinvented tv science fiction like Star Wars reinvented big screen science fiction back in the seventies and eighties. It's a landmark piece of work.

B5's popularity should be greater, but the show requires paying some real attention to fully appreciate it and a lot of people prefer easier fare. I think a lot of people probably didn't fully understand it and that probably didn't help its popularity. I didn't fully appreciate it myself until I looked closer at it. It's a real pity it isn't more widely understood and appreciated, because it's quite simply the best there's ever been.

I don't really care for either, so I guess I'll leave this one to somebody else.

V the miniseries.

Better Sci Fi comedy: Flash Gordon (with Sam Jones) or Galaxy Quest?

Galaxy Quest.

BTVS (Buffy) or ATS (Angel)?

(Personal preference: BTVS. ATS sucked after the first season and even at its best it was never as good as BTVS.)

Only saw one season of Angel so I'll have to choose Buffy.

Original The Twilight Zone or Original The Outer Limits?

Hmmmm... not really my line, seeing as I'm not impressed with most old stuff and anthology shows aren't my thing. But at a pinch... Twilight Zone, 'cause of how influential it was.

Cigarette Smoking Man/CGB Spender (X-Files) or Darth Vader?

(No definite personal preference here, they're both top-grade villains.)

Vader. PERIOD.

No body beats a man like that.

Better scifi books or movies?

You Star Wars partisan, you.

I dunno, most of both aren't half as good as they should be. But then that's true of most kinds of writing and movies/tv.

B5: Original Na'Toth (Julie Caitlin Brown, seasons 1 and 5) or second Na'Toth (Mary Kay Adams, season 2)?

(Personal preference strongly on the side of the original, who's my favorite female character on B5.)

The original.

Warp Speed or Hypespace?
