They can look up birth records to see if the person the child is talking about actually existed. For a child to know so many details about someone they've never actually met proves that it must be the spirit of that person. __________________ previously White Noise

| Do you have a link or anything? I don't know if I believe that. I mean, children making up details isn't that odd, they have huge imaginations, and when you think about all the people that have died, the chances of the details kind of matching someone isn't that unlikely. __________________ ~Anna | |||

No one would really tell a child about the details of the death of person, especially a child 5 or younger. This site: here. The site isn't 'proof' but people's accounts of children and their 'imaginary' friends. It is interesting to read. I am close to this topic because I remember always telling my parents about a little boy I played with when I was 4 or 5 named David. When I got older, to about 13 and we first got the internet, I did a web search about the location in which I said I had seen the boy as it is a museum location today. Sure enough at that schoolhouse, was a boy named David, he died young, but from what, I don't know. I've visited the site recently to get you the info I came across, but they have removed some of the information, mainly the list of students, in which David's name was listed. But there are family trees. I suspect that this one may have been David's as the child's name is not listed, most likely because of his death at a young age, and because he talked of a brother. I wish myself that I had 'proof' of his existence, more than this anyway. But, David constantly talked of frogs and toads, and this is listed on the site: "Boys at Craigflower Schoolhouse in 1859 would have learned about things like frogs and toads!" __________________ previously White Noise

| Wow, that's freaky. I don't remember having a proper imaginary friend that I thought was real. I think I would pretend to have one, but I got bored of him pretty quickly, he didn't even have a name. __________________ ~Anna | |||

| Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think it is really important to listen to what children have to say. A lot of people tend to say that what a child has to say is rubbish or just their imagination, but they could know more than most people think. That is why one of my new favorite shows which airs on A&E is called: "Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal". Shows cases of children who have the gift to see spirits or sense them and talk to them. A real psychic leads them and talks to them on how to deal with their gift as a lot of the kids complain of being teased about their intuitions so some avoid it and ignore it, where others embrace it. So having someone to help guide them and answer questions, is something that not a lot of psychics had when they were kids, is so helpful in their growing to understand their gift. __________________ previously White Noise | |||

| It's an interesting thought. That's for sure. The idea of spirit guides has always intrigued me, I pondered over this complete unfounded theory that everyone has a guide, but that it's like your older self/spirit of yourself after already having lived your life and then died. It makes the assumption that you're life has already been determined though. And I don't think it makes any sense. But it was a thought I had once. __________________ ~Anna | |||

| Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I believe everyone has a spirit guide. I have books on how to contact your spirit guide, and I've come close a few times but it takes a lot of concentration, it's a learned skill. Unless you are a psychic. __________________ previously White Noise | |||

| How do you do it though? Is it anything like when people try to induce lucid dreaming? That's something that some people can kind of do and other people can kind of learn to do. It can be hard to do. __________________ ~Anna | |||

| Oh, ok. Good luck with that, then. I'll think I'll pass at this point in time, I don't think I'd have a sincere enough wish to contact them. ![]() __________________ ~Anna | |||

| Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's not for everyone. Some believe in spirit guides, but just don't have the desire to contact them. I've also read that as children, some imaginary friends were spirit guides. __________________ previously White Noise | |||

| Yeah, makes sense. I mean if (and that is, for me, a big if) they are around, then that's cool, they can keep doing what they're doing, I don't really need to talk to them or anything, you know? __________________ ~Anna | |||

| Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I understand. A lot of psychics talk to their spirit guides for information from spirits. __________________ previously White Noise | |||
