Thanks. I'm stuffed. It's hard to eat responsibly when there's turkey dinner on the table. And pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert.

I imagine it is! I hope you had a good time.

We still haven't finished that shed, it's being a pain to put together. Still we have made progress.

We saw Lego: Ninjago at the cinema yesterday, after a pub lunch with the extended family.

How's the she coming? I'm sure you'll appreciate it once it's complete.

Sounds like a nice day.

I'm making turkey soup today.

I didn't know turkey soup existed. But then again, turkey is not very customary in Scotland.

Is it made from leftovers from the Thanksgiving dinner, Chris?

We haven't finished it yet. It's just the roof left, but my husband is away over the weekend and into next week, so it's going have to wait.

I've been suffering with a stomach bug for a few days, I'm starting to feel better now, though.

Think chicken soup but with turkey broth. Carrots, celery, onions, parsley and I tend to use orzo instead of noodles.

Sorry to hear that you haven't been well Claire.

I'm off in the morning to go to a Roger Hodgson concert. Seen him a few times now and he puts on a good show. If the weather smartens up we may continue on to explore some different fall colour routes.

Thanks Chris.

That sounds a nice soup. Homemade soups can be so nice.

Enjoy your concert! It sounds like a nice day out for you.

home made soups are yummy.

It was a terrific concert and a nice get away.

Now to catch up with housework.

Me too! Being ill all week means I'm only doing some chores today.

Glad the concert was good.

Some days it seems like the housework is never ending.

It was a lovely, sunny fall day today so we got out for a nice walk.

Going for a walk sounds nice.

The hurricane brought a load of dust into the air over the UK, and made the sun turn orange. That was really quite strange!

I slept badly last night so it's hard to get on with things today.

The lighting was really weird! But the wind didn't seem worse than usual.

Interesting that the hurricane had such an effect on the sun.

I hope you sleep well tonight Claire. I had a bad night Saturday night, but have slept well since then.

I'm glad the wind wasn't too bad for you Rita!

I slept better last night thanks Chris.

My husband is home for the rest of the week, which is nice for us.
